Here's a few pics. of the condition I received my LK-3D in (excellent); no dust, dings, dents, scratches, or anything missing. 10/10 for DHL & L/K! :)

I also added a couple pics of it running in auto mode. So far so good, I love it!

NICE Pics Bro!!

A new GB for 2014 is in the feeler stage-if it happens- I am planning on just two choices LK PD2(~$530) and LK RGB5(~$1255)-- 10 pcs EACH minimum.
WE *may* have other choices BUT only after the two above are full.

LK-PD2 Poll:

Is anyone able to get the sound programs to trigger with external music after setting the level to the highest level of "9"?

Seems a shame we are expected to modify these to make them work, because there are a number of patterns unique to the sound programs. I really don't want to do a review until I get this feature working. As I've mentioned, I have to thump the case with my fingers to get it to sequence any pattern and prevent it from shutting off the beam automatically due to no sound input. Mine does not respond to loud music at all. I suspect the only thing the mic will pick up besides me tapping hard on the case is a sub woofer right next to it or in contact with the unit.

Jeff's pics are some of the best i have seen of the 3D-that last one is especially SICK- maybe he used the 'pause' on the remote as my pics were not that sharp..
and my cameras cannot catch the red that well.
I distinctly remember finding the zip code for 'Coh.Thought' Granger and adding it to the list of addresses so why i was asked for it again and so many days later is a mystery -as is not just doing a search 'zip code Granger IN.' from China.

maybe it was wrong-- i dunno.

Right after i got the very first tracking number by calling DHL i called for all the GB members on the list and in the next day I was able to get them and they were also given to me by Linna but DHL kept saying the package was not yet in the system for Pat..

no matter what happened the longest I think you should need to wait is three days- there is no(normal) faster shipping than dhl express, I gave her the zip again yesterday morning. I wil give DHL Express another call for you in the morning-- wont make it arrive any faster but still nice to be able to track even if its only for 72 hours.

I am reserving my review on the RGB5 until after we hear from the others.

WENDY I agree with you 100%- over the past years I have owned- used-played with a dozen China made PJs and EVERY one had the SAME pathetic tiny nearly worthless mic. PLEASE all LK owners test ur PJ on setting '9' of the sound response- if it is not better than setting '8' or at the very least the same we need to bring this also to Linna-


AND you are right- we should NOT have to mod our PJs like Peter did his- and as it seems the modding was neither expensive or terribly labor intensive one would think that , by now, the 'better' PJ makers would have either better mics or - the aux 'in' jacks or BOTH--

I have posted many times about PJ mics and ALSO about the 'remote' jack and plug we get with LKs- its wrong- its improperly designed and does not serve its function as if it were correct then the PJ would NEVER work without the plug in place- end of story-

nice try LK but not a home run.

at the LSO course the instructor told us in lieu of a 'REAL" E-stop it would be ok by the 'regs' to just use a switched power strip- with a lit switch- press the switch no power- laser off- functions as it should and OK until a proper E-stop with a KEY can be gotten. The operator should have the key in hand but IIRC NOT left in the e-stop. Once pressed the laser must not function until the key is turned.


While some of these issues may seem minor its important that we bring all of them to the attention of Linna or else less improvements will be made.

Man bow tie, that 3d housing is flawless ;) I'm telling you guys with a 3d. Get the fog rolling and get ready to catch your jaw when it drops. I couldn't believe the beam show I got from it. Already anticipating running the 3d along side of a pd2 in the near future.

I received my PD2 unit yesterday and it arrived in mint condition. I hooked it up to my DMX controller and proceeded to take it for a test run. Using the controller and channel assignments listed in the PD2 manual (which I have studied for a few weeks now), I was able to manipulate the PD2 to do whatever I wanted with ease. All of the pics were taken in DMX mode, and only using the PD2. Eventually I will try it (and my other projector) in Auto and Sound Activated modes, but that will not be for a while as I like the control DMX gives me. When I photograph this weekend I think I will hook up both projectors to the DMX controller, plus add some hand helds and optics. Both the PD2 and the Casa CTL-HM do have differences, and combined should compliment each other nicely with experimentation.

On the 3d does auto show go through all the patterns? I've tried everything and mine only cycles through one pattern on auto.

Thanks Hak, The last 3 pics were indeed done with the PJ on pause. Also, those last 3 pics were taken close up (4ft.) from a wall,
while the others were taken from about 10ft. away.

@ Tmack - I will definitely have to try the fog!:D Also, about the auto mode, mine cycles through patterns in auto OK, but while in "remote" I manually have to advance from one pattern to the next.
Maybe it's me, i'll play around a little more.

@ brucemir - Outstanding! Can't wait to see what you come up with in the future!

I've really only used remote mode lol. I'll try without when I get home. And yeah, get that fog going and take video. My phone can't capture it, but it's spectacular.

Yes Tony in remote there is AFAIK no 'auto' .

before Bruces lousy pics (j/k) cause my PM Inbox into overload..
It does look good for a GB #5 next year.
BUT those who are ready first MUST hang on to thier $$ until we have at LEAST 10 buyers for any one model- so that being said I am thinking just three choices
LKPD2 our by far best seller- more LK 3D- and the LKRGB5- on that one we may be allowed to have just 5 or more buyers- Now if we get the quota there is a good chance that other models like the SDs etc and be gotten-The 2014 prices will be higher but not by very much perhaps just 5% AND if you are not CONUS there may be an increase for the shipping---our New Zealand buyer had to add $50 to his cost.

We have one LK PD2 to get fixed up for brother George. Linna has promised to put her best tech on this and I expect any parts needed will be provided--Right now I need some help doing the re-alignment- the red is off just a bit on this RBB5 five I got from Marc- you can see red 'peeking' at the edges of the yellow.

and about the SD card- I am totally lost- very disappointed with page 7 of the owners guide-it may as well been in Chinese. where are the instructions? I don't see them... maybe its just me..

Hey Hak, I see some of the others who purchased the higher end units, checking the alignment on thier PJ's,
is there anything to look for on the LK-3D to see if there are any problems?

I would think where colors are combined, ie white and yellow, that the beams align to a clean line.

And I should have a DMX to play with next week..
