Hi. I'm from the northern suburbs of Philadelphia and I'm retired. My friends recently bought a home with some acreage in Potter County, PA about 10 miles from Cherry Springs State Park, one of the darkest places on the continent (yes it surprised me too). I found only one thread about the park on the site and I hope to take Nancy and get up there and visit soon.
I'll finish reading all of the stickies, learn what I can and buy my first REAL laser after a lot of studying. So far it's been an interesting read.

Welcome, Sluggo. The name reminds me of an old newspaper "funnies" character. I too am retired and a senior citizen, but unlike BowtieGuy, I've not heard of you before now. If you are interested in lasers, this is a great place to learn much about them and many members here are willing to help with any questions you might have.

Paul, I think we're talking about the same sluggo, "Nancy" is still in the comics every day.

I haven't seen that in more years than I care to count. I know the artist is not the original one as he has been dead for years. I had no idea it was still up and running.
That stamp is 22 years old.

I got to hang with Sam at two SELEM events and he had a bed in our suite--(that was sweet)he is 10 min from Philly..so you are blessed with that!!!
