This is a guide for new members. It is a reference tool to give them the key words to use to make the [search] feature more user friendly. After all, how can a noob search if they don't even know what words to look for. So please input words or phrases and i will add them, so that way the words are in the first post of this thread.

post edit. grix brought to light that some of the terms are immposible to search for, i assume because they are so common or too short. so use common sense when searching, use as much info about what you want in your search query.

Here we go,
i will do categories with sub-topics

RED LASER:
635nm, 650nm, 660nm, infrared (ir), lpc sled, senkat diode, 16x, 22x, long open can, long closed can,

GREEN LASER:
DPSS, 532 nm, green module, o-like green module, rayfoss module,

BLU-RAY:
405nm, phr-803t, 8x, 6x, ggw sled, bdr-203, jayrob g1 lens, larrydfw glass lens, glass ar coated lens,
search won't tell you this "BLUE LASER IS NOT BLU-RAY LASER. BLU-RAY IS A VIOLET COLORED LASER"

LASER DIODES:
4 mm, 5.9mm, 9mm, c-mount

DRIVER:
rkcstr, dr. lava flexdrive, www.rog8811.com , ddl driver (deadal),
dummy load, test load

MODULE:
aixiz module, merideth module, sure module, glass lens, ar coated lens,

HEAT SINK
jayrob heat sink, darkhorse heatsink, misterwilling heatsink

Scanners:
galvos (galvanometer), DAC, heat sink, ILDA,

BUILD SERVICE (if you want to be added/taken off just say so)
darkarmyofone,

Here is a link by grix, with some troubles he was having wit the search feature and short phrases and words, and now seems to be better resolved.: http://laserpointerforums.com/f59/searching-42101.html#post554164

Maybe "532nm" in the "green" ???

bdr-203, 8X, 6X (in Blu-Ray)

green laser module, O-like Module, Rayfoss Module (in greens)

"650nm" for the red. Maybe add a blue 473nm section to show the difference between violet and blue?

@ grix. i see the concern you have, but you used a bad exampl. in your problem you show LOC as a search term. I clearly put long open can. scroll up to the "post edit"tell me if the wording is correct to help them better, thanks.

@potatorage, added
