Scumbag police in usa kill dog

Wow, thanks for the perspective Hislordship. Very enlightening. I agree that legalization would put a damper on the illegal drug trade. In California it was illegal dealers that had issue with legalization of Pot, because it cut into their business and limited how much could be charged. It is still illegal federally but it's a big first step.

The prison system here is out of control. People who haven't committed serious crimes should not be in jail with hardened criminals. So much $$$ goes into the system that does nothing to help people get better, it only makes them worse.

Here in Holland we had/have a similar situation
It has been legal to smoke weed here for years and we even have special shops called coffeeshops where you can buy weed
But ofcourse there are still dealers around but not so much as in other countries

Recently the government said they were going to make a weedpass to stop drug tourists from being able to buy weed in shops because only dutch people were going to be able to get such a pass...

They tested this in cities and towns close to the borders of Germany and Belgium
It was a huge dissaster...
Not only did it force foreign people to buy from dealers it also made sure the dealers made more money and were able to drive the price up alot!

The dealers even openly stated on tv that they love this weedpass... because they never made more money before
I believe the weedpass has since been canceled but i am not sure about that

But anyway we are kinda going off topic here ^^

Lol, yeah, I'm bad that way ;) I wondered how that weedpass would go over thanks

Back on topic :D

Hmm. Weedpass. AKA prescriptions in the US for smoking weed... in states that permit it.

Not working out so well. I tend to get offered drugs at least 2-3 times per night going out.

Lol, where do you go out Infinitus? :) I'm just old and don't go out anymore I guess

NYC, mostly lower east side, lower west side, village area. Lots of bars and lounges.

I've never really been into clubs. Walking from one to the other, not uncommon for some guy to go "coke"? For some reason I get offered coke more than anything else

Sounds about right.

There are countless cases of cops abusing wiretap laws in order to arrest and hassle citizens who attempt to film them.

I think more, and more people are starting to wake up to the reality that any semblance of checks and balances, or protection granted by laws, is now nonexistent where cops and the government are concerned.

I don't do anything illegal or immoral, yet at present I'm far more paranoid about cops breaking down my door in a raid, than I am of being robbed.

Btw, the NSA de-funing bill was defeated :( It was close though.

Police kill Bambi, because " That's our policy "

Sorry for the necropost, but apparently birds are now on the menu:

NYPD Beat Family and Killed Pet Parakeet in Own Home, Lawsuit Says

larger.jpg

ST. GEORGE — A Staten Island woman has sued the city claiming police entered her St. George home without a warrant, beat her family and killed her beloved pet parakeet, according to court documents.

Last year, Evelyn Lugo's bird, Tito, was thrown from his cage after it was knocked off a dresser as cops came into her Corson Avenue home, the Daily News first reported.

The officers then stepped on the bird intentionally, killing it, court documents say.

Officers also beat two of Lugo's sons, her daughter and a family friend, the lawsuit claims.

According to court documents, police entered Lugo's home on Sept. 2, 2012, as her family was celebrating Labor Day.

Police stopped and questioned her son Edwin Avellanet as he was outside throwing out garbage and asked for identification, the lawsuit says. When he refused to show any, officers allegedly grabbed his right arm and Avellanet broke free and ran into the building.

Officers broke windows of the home, and when Lugo opened the front door she was thrown outside by police, court papers say.

When inside, police allegedly struck Avellanet two or three times with a hard object, struck their friend in the face and threw a woman into the dresser with the bird cage on it, court documents say.

Police then allegedly pepper sprayed Lugo's daughter and son, according to the documents.

Lugo's son, daughter and family friend were arrested and all three were taken to Staten Island University Hospital in custody.

They were treated for multiple facial lacerations and lacerations to the head. Lugo's daughter was also treated for an asthma attack, the court papers say.

All charges were eventually dropped and sealed by Richmond County Supreme Court, the lawsuit says.

Lugo could not be reached for comment on the story.

The city's Law Department did not say why police entered the home last year, or what charges were lodged against the family, but said they're reviewing the case.

"We will review the allegations in the complaint, which at this point are merely allegations," a spokeswoman for the department said.

Sorry IE. I just do not like NYC.

Too many damn people.

Police here have only been professional and polite to me. What would make NYPD act any different?

I don't think staten island can be considered new york.

In general I think cops react the way they do because they are taught to view us as the enemy, and have very little accountability to face in their actions.

The NYPD is also somewhat huge, IIRC the total number is over 30k. This means unfortunately not all of them are the cream of the crop.

Of course in smaller towns cronyism is rampant.

:wtf: This just seems totally barbaric and uncalled for.

Why step on the bird on top of pepper spraying and beating the family?
