You are absolutely crazy not to have done so already.

Opening a dispute makes it hard for the seller to withdraw funds from their paypal account.

If you wait this long though, the seller can easily withdraw the funds to their bank account and move funds from that account to another. Once that's done, you're out of luck UNLESS the seller still has some funds left in the account.

So please, protect yourself. Open the dispute now.

It won't do anything for two weeks anyway. After that you can escalate to a claim. Even after you escalate to a claim the seller will usually claim to have send a package, and given that in this case the seller has to qualms whatsoever about sending fake tracking numbers, it will take another 1-2 weeks for you to get a refund. That is assuming there are still enough funds in the paypal account, and/or funds in the account linker to sellers account.

Also whatever you do, do not close the dispute, do not forget to escalate it to a claim, and do not under any circumstances cancel either, claim or dispute, until you have your order.

This goes for ALL online orders. It's business. Not personal. A responsible business owner will have zero issues with this approach.

Edit: Same goes for your Lazerer order. Worst case you get your money back. With the amount of time a Paypal dispute takes, it's enough time to have the laser shipped, and delivered even if it hasn't been sent yet.

Okay, you've convinced me!

I've made a claim, if Joker doesn't send me my money back by Wednesday, I'm turning the claim into a dispute.

Unless you recommend doing that immediately as well? The option is available, I don't need to wait two weeks before I can escalate the claim.

I just worry because I've seen 'trustworthy' people suddenly go off the deep end due to a substance problem or other personal issues.

I too would like to see a resolution to all this, but outside of refunding everyone until they get their laser I'm not sure how it's gonna happen.

Its too bad what life can throw at people. I'm gonna give them up to 100 days before I really start worrying and doubting.
I also ordered and received a laser from Sanwu.

You have already waited for 6 weeks and got 4 different tracking # ??? OK I don't know how to comment sci-fi laser now......

I just opened a Paypal claim. If I don't get my money back by Wednesday, I'm going to escalate it to a dispute.

Usually it's Dispute->Claim->Resolution. If you have the option to escalate now, I'd do it now. If the laser is on the way as Joker claims, he can provide a working tracking number, and the case will be on hold until your laser is delivered.

If not... you get your money back.

My experience with SciFi lasers

I know I'm not the first one telling this, but just my 2 cents....

In november 2015 (5 months ago) I ordered a laser from Eitan. He quickly replied (as he always did) and sent me a tracking code. However, it went to another country. Several tracking codes later, even with a picture from a package with my address on it, nothing arrived on my address yet.
I even lost count how often I emailed him, he always replied with answers like "in 20 minutes I reply" or "tomorrow you finally have your laser", I almost lost confidence.
Maybe he is still trying to satisfy his customers, but giving customers false tracking codes (maybe one time the postal company can make a mistake, but not 5 times!) and always promising something that he won't do is very bad for his business and good reputation. Maybe he is too busy, but in that case be honest to your customers and tell them a honest delivery date.....

Its a shame someone deleted the thread were he threatened to start posting someones name and address and making a website about them just to spite them.

See that's the big problem with me. NOBODY should have to wait 100 days to get their laser, that's insane! I mean, jeez. 3 months holy crap! Sorry. :/

so 4 months wait and no laser ? thats just sad... in that time you could have walked to him and back in less time and have your laser..

The cide does works !! I have sent you many emails and you did not respond. The ckde works and I can prove it. Read my emails and you will see it does.

Most definitely... there was a lot more too, but that got deleted by moderators for getting out of hand.

This is sad, a while ago I only saw good things about him but recently all I have seen are people voicing their concerns about this exact same mail fraud problem. This is clearly not a one off and something is up. I was close to getting one of his blue lasers too but will hold for the moment.

If not... you get your money back.

Joker says my tacking number will work in 12 hours .. 11 now .. and the laser should be in by Sunday. If the tracker isn't working by then, I'll be unimpressed.

Also my money's on hold and not directly accessible by Joker, so I should be fine, long as that's the truth. Besides that, he says my laser is almost here and he can't intercept it.

I've had several people offer to sell me a laser with two day shipping, so I honestly don't have much to lose if my laser doesn't arrive .. as long as I can get my refund.

You should not have had to go through all of this.

If he was not in the spotlight and under pressure he might have gave you the run around for another month or two.

You may actually get it now that everyone is watching, I bet it will be express shipped from just days ago.

I would like to stay positive and be encouraging in spite of the way..........sigh, well when the packs are coming in before the pay-pal disputes get filed I will say something nice, cool?

Good, glad to hear that.

Depending on shipping method, in my experience at least, tracking usually starts working on hitting US, although in some cases I've had tracking work only once I actually got the package, and all it showed was the the package was delivered.
