Scary incident

I'm gonna speak out here against the advice to carry a gun. Don't.

The muggers, rapists, and murderers agree with you. Dont carry a gun, it makes their job much harder.
Do you know what kind of things happen in jail?

PS: In America using deadly force is justifiable if your life is in danger. You don't automatically go to jail for defending yourself.

Happy to hear you weren't hurt. Next time bring your body guard..........

Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

but i still prefer my 1.2W DTR Guidesman.

best tho to just avoid putting your self in that position.

glad you are unscathed.

the other 2 were still coming. i did not focus on them or see their faces but im 99% sure they were with him. poor guys.

Probably not a good idea using public ATM's at 2AM. Glad you got away safe though.

Wow, glad you are okay. I do carry a gun but I have a license for this. Our law also backs up your license to carry and use if needed. It is always better friend to not ever get yourself into situations where things can happen, but sometimes trouble finds you anyway and that's why I carry. Seems like there is no end to the increase in the bad guy population!

The only time I go to use the cash machine is before I go to the pub, no money at the end of the night to get robbed, pay by card for most things, I don't like to carry cash for that reason. I also have a crappy mobile I use for when I do go out drinking in case they try to rob that too :)

Glad you managed to get away safe

Wow, that is scary indeed. Just glad that your ok, that's the silver lining to this story! Just some sorry human beings from the shallow end of the gene pool. It just seems like they keep multiplying more and more all the time!

It takes a messed up person to use a knife on someone.
Squeezing a trigger is a relatively impersonal act but to look someone in the eyes and push a knife into them? Death penalty is the only thing that makes sense for people like that.
Good to hear you (effectively) fought back and got away, best not to run home though, going to an open business and calling for help would keep them from knowing where you live in the future. ;)

As I said, they didn't follow me so they definitely don't know where I stopped. Thanks a lot for the tip though. My place was near enough so I could reach it fast. Running to my house was the only thing I thought at that time. I guess I were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Isn't that the truth,
I was riding home from the gf's one night last summer and these guys in a little 1/4ton pickup pulled right up behind me at a stop sign (like 6 inches away).
I rocketed away when I saw them and then backed my speed off, I took a circuitous route and then carried on my merry way but as I turned one of the last corners before home (I live out in the country) I saw an at least similar truck coming through an intersection so I kicked up my speed a bit more.
Lost sight of him for a few seconds (pedestrians around so I couldn't watch my mirrors very close), the next I saw was low, square headlights in my mirror and matching my speed. I got out of town at that point and really kicked it up (~200km/h). I don't like to overdrive my headlights because there are a lot of deer in the area so I didn't go faster than that. Looked behind before I got to my driveway and there were no lights so I turned in (and got ready to shut off the bike (to put out my lights).
A car comes ROARING in behind me, he had to have been going 200km/h to catch up that fast and as I got off my bike to go break the guys' faces (carbon fiber reinforced knuckles on my gloves, bullet resistant SS armor on my forearms, double layer kevlar 49 pants, SS reinforced boots, etc.) he flips on his cherries, turns out it was a rookie cop that was watching to see if I was doing anything illegal.... Whups XD
I was ready to turn off after my driveway and lose him by going back to town (if the pickup was close) and making the circuit again though.
Most of my friends don't even know where I live ^_^
Sorry for the long story, though it a little similar though.

*The cop didn't try to give me a ticket after he heard what had happened, I also asked him if cops are allowed to go over the speed limit without the emergency lights on
He was the one good cop I have had any experience with BTW
