Sale Thread: New Inexpensive 18650/cr123a Host Kit - $25 Shipped!

Glad to hear from you Brad.... and thankfully that nothing bad happened to you, ect. I never doubted you, though your silence was unusual but that's just an opinion. Please keep my orders valid, I am still interested in both

Edit: rhd I think you explained yourself perfectly & that's not bad at all. It's clear and there's nothing wrong with that :)

Fantastic news!

Sorry for doubting you Helios. Though I guess I wasn't doubting you. But sorry for publicly deliberating on how to approach things. Just didn't know what was up.

Also, sorry for being from the country that created your horrible horrible phone. BlackBerries are truly Canada's biggest embarrassment. I have never known of anyone who actually got their BB to work properly. Lots of addicts, but very few people who can actually get their RIM phone to do anything other than read email.

EDIT: Please keep my order valid also.

No harm. It is perfectly reasonable to get nervous in this situation. I should have updated earlier I am just so busy lately that things pertaining to hobbies havent dominated my thoughts. Like I said this will not be an issue in the future because I will only put kits for sale once they are completed. Even on this kit I waited until they were done to accept payment even though several people pmed me asking to pay early but I did not anticipate the grounding issue. Its actually not a hard fix it just takes time to make each spring out of wire in way way that looks professional, tweak it to fit properly and then heat treat it to change the properties to make it harder and less malleable (aka springy) and then I want to just take the whole lot to the post office figure out the lease expensive way to ship it (with tracking) and send them on there way. I have bubble mailers so Im hoping just mailing them priority in those will be less than UPS flat rate boxes. They arnt light haha anyone have any suggestions on shipping?

As far as blackberrys go I loved mine when I got it but it would freeze periodically and then one day it would let me receive calls but not answer them or make them....this happened to be the day that me and my girlfriend got split up on state street in madison on halloween. Thats wasnt fun and then a few months after paying $100 for a refurbished replacement my new BB stopped charging. Hoping to have better luck with HTC.

I love my android :)

For shipping to Canada - it's usually easiest / cheapest for me to receive boring old surface / ground cheap shipping. Sometimes UPS can create headaches for going over borders. But when I get stuff from Moh or other Americans and it comes via normal cheap USPS - no problems.

Ya I am still stickin with my order.
Do your thing man.

Seeing I have 2 orders for 2 hosts each from you, I am happy covering the shipping expense on my orders. Your offer is already outstanding Brad ($25 shipped) and if in the end you don't make out nearly as well as you'd wanted to, you'll probably not offer something like this again. I most certainly don't want that to be the case, I'm sure others don't also. But since you've run into some unforseen and unexpected (possibly)costly delays - I'd rather you walk away from this feeling anything better than 'I'm never doing that again' because of the grounding issue/spring, ect.

An extra $10 or whatever isn't going to hurt me at all, so again Brad please charge me shipping for my kits. I'd much rather you make a little $ for your work than regret 'trying to make a host for LPF but it failed' because of these unexpected setbacks.... :D

Some members are actually willing to help and pay a little extra :). Unlike some that try to save money whenever its possible lol.

Thanks for the support guys. I appreciate the offer but I couldnt let you send me anymore money with the delays this batch has made you guys wait through. I did this deal so that people could see my abilities as a new builder at a dirt cheap price and thats worth more than money to me and my future here.

I wanted to ship these out tonight before the post office closed at 9 but I still havent had any time to finish the units up and unfortunately I am going to be in Arizona for a week starting tomorrow (checking out the area for a possible move). There really isnt much time required left to finish these and I will have more time when I get back to finish them up and ship them out. If this will not work for any of the five people who have paid please just PM me and I will give you a full refund right away. I got my HTC and it works great so I will be keeping an eye on my inbox while im gone.

Thanks for being patient guys

I'm still interested and will patiently await your PM. Thanks for the updates.

Hey Brad... how's the hostmaking coming along? Hopefully you haven't stumbled upon any more snags aside the grounding issue, but I also know crafting these to near pefection is complicated & has its setbacks. Anyways, just looking for an update from you... I hope all's well with you

Hey,

I PM'd you a few days ago. I think that if it hasn't shipped, I'd like to request my $25 payment be returned. I'm moving in about a month.

I'd appreciate it if you would process that through - and I'd be happy to purchase from you in the future if you get setup and running again at some point.

Cheers
