ROUND 2 SOLD OUT!! - CHEAP 445nm (true-blue) diodes group buy

Re: ROUND 2 - CHEAP 445nm diodes group buy

Payment sent for one of these!

Man, I wish I would have taken the time to read this thread before I panicked and bought two at the PL group buy...

It cost me more for those...

Re: ROUND 2 - CHEAP 445nm diodes group buy

WAIT? What laser projector what?

Model please...

Re: ROUND 2 - CHEAP 445nm diodes group buy

I just found this video on youtube.

YouTube - Casio Beamer Phosphorrad

It's blue diode from XJ-A130.
Looks nice.

Even blue dot looks just fine for multimode diode.
I'll try to contact this guy to see if he can give me more information about diode.

Yeah I bought one of PL as well... but Dan said he was getting
the 2500 Lumen projector for a few extra $$$...
and the projector here is the 2000 Lumen model...
So... you and I are in a position to see if both models of the
projector use the same LD...

Re: ROUND 2 - CHEAP 445nm diodes group buy

If these diodes are rated for 500mW, or even 100mW, with the amount present, it would be a simple matter of turning them up a little, or adding a few for the 2500 lumen model, certainly easier than investing in an entire new diode for only 500 lumens more.

Re: ROUND 2 - CHEAP 445nm diodes group buy

^Looks like extraction should be a breeze.. A little glue is no trouble at all. Nice find Renno!!

Re: ROUND 2 - CHEAP 445nm diodes group buy

Yes, this guy didn't mention extraction difficulties so it shouldn't be problem.

Here are some helpful information...

According to my tests, the threshold is approximately 80mA

The 400mA are freely chosen
Have also already times, for several minutes, chased 700mA

Sorry for google translate

heheh ... Anyone chase milliamps for fun these days?

I heard they're fast little buggers

Re: ROUND 2 - CHEAP 445nm diodes group buy

how much for postage to Australia? Thanks, Hugo. (i'm probably in for one if optics are included, and you can ship to Australia, but don't put me down quite yet).

Re: ROUND 2 - CHEAP 445nm diodes group buy

I see nice looking lenses in those pictures...

Will we get a lens with the diodes? :D

Re: ROUND 2 - CHEAP 445nm diodes group buy
