Rick Trent laser kits 3w 445nm

Re: Rick Trent laser kits

Sorry that post doesn't say I'm doing a video but in the other tread I promised a video as its the only way to be far and as my ophir doesn't have data logging it the only way to see the results.

Re: Rick Trent laser kits

Aah now i understand your reaction :p no i would be comfortable with results from both you and IE :) forgot to mention you in my initial post

Re: Rick Trent laser kits

No that's cool and it looks like it might be here today but if it comes I won't be able to do the test till I get out of work at 10pm. But I'm really excited so I'll probably do it first thing when I get out.

Re: Rick Trent laser kits

Re: Rick Trent laser kits

i'll probably end up doing 2 videos 1 with the 3 lens on a 9mm, and 1 with the 3 lens on my m140. that why if someone is buying it for either they will know what to expect.

the G2 came from dtr. and i also hope it goes over 3W.

Sweet! Would you also be willing of doing one of the dot in comparison to a G lens? :)

Greetings,,

EDIT: so why are you comparing the T lens with the three element lens? The G lens is the competition right?

Re: Rick Trent laser kits

i'm comparing the T Lens with the other 2 leading lens, G2 and stock 9mm lens. we all know the 3 element doesn't put out much power. as for testing the dot i'm not quite sure how to do it but if someone tells me what i need to do i could try it if theres enough space.

Re: Rick Trent laser kits

testing a 3.7w let what would you call the laser in video a 3.7W or a 3.6w
I just did a new test and here is the video .It has some of my secrets in it at the end

Re: Rick Trent laser kits

Just tracked it, and I should have the lens monday.

I'll see about doing a video also, but I will at least relay my observations right away.

I do have a Jayrob g1, and two g2 lenses, or different age. The hardest part will be trying to find a regular aixiz lens actually :p

Re: Rick Trent laser kits

Of course my testimony means jack and shit as I'm a noob and I have no LPM however ill state it anyway. I received my 3W unit from Rick today and I'm very pleased. While the end of the unit does have some sloppy solder it fits into the host pretty well. The overall unit has some heft and therefore feels very sturdy. As far as the beam goes my limited experience will only let me say is that it's bright as hell and yes I'm wearing my glasses. ;) I also own a 1.5W 445nm That was built by and purchased from a laser vet and I can say this new unit is much brighter with about the same divergence and a thinner beam.
Overall I'm very happy with what I see as a real bargain. Nice job Rick.
