No, probably not. I figured you guys might want to know what I'm into these days...

I've really gotten into poi twirling - tried both LED and fire. it's all awesomely awesome. Also, fire staff. You gotta love huge trails/arcs of light.

The LED balls are just a translucent medium lit up and spun in pretty patterns on chains and swivels.

The fire poi use Kevlar wicks dipped in kerosene. They make an awesome roar noise when lit up!

Enough talk, more pics. First ones of me, who sort of knows what he's doing

Examples of people who actually know what they're doing!

Pretty cool. You need a video so we can see you And hear this awesome roar! :san:

Welcome back, seen some of your posts before.
Indeed that is awesomely awesome, I've seen some fire staff twirling before it's cool.

Hey cool....
Welcome back

My cousin does Poi.. i saw her do it a few times, and you are right. fire poi is definitely something cool to listen to. I have some pix somehwere on mah puuter.. i can show you some if you would like.

Welcome back idiot :p
I do remember you from a lot of old threads.
Have you given up lasers completely or are you incorporating them into your poi light show? It sure looks like a cool hobby too, anything to do with light tends to be awesome.

Seb

Looks pretty awesome, Now do it with a 5mW green on some rope! :D

Still one of my favorite gifts

Nice to hear from you again.

No, not that I know of. Some plastics let off cyanide when burned, but I don't think Kevlar does.

I quit laz0ring because of restrictions imposed in Australia and financial issues. Poi is a (slightly) less expensive hobby.

Green lasers on the end of a rope would be pretty cool. You'd need to wear safety glasses and play in a completely deserted, preferably heavy-foliage area...

I'm not actually coming back, just felt like popping in. =)

Cool a fellow Australian, whereabouts are you?
Yeah the laws here are annoying at times. But it's really for the best, I guess, that there are the restrictions otherwise there would be many a fool running around with a laser.
