Re: RED & 808nm 1-5 WATT LASER DIODES & MORE CHEAP
i got my package this morning and i must say that im very happy, thanks chris you Rox !
Some picture of my day-mod :
First, you can see some parts from chris; the Tec driven at 6V need almost 3.3A and a massive cooling. A note on indium foil :
At 700 mA, the power start to drop after few second, my heatsink is not as good as i expected, i think.
An other design with a massive heatsink, without tec, much more efficient; at 1.4A, the power emitted remain constant.
it's my first try with cmount and i must say that i have little difficulty to have a nice collimation ! but i will try this tommorow.
Chris, do you sell 3-5 inch FL aspheric lens ?
will this lens work? http://www.surplusshed.com/pages/item/l3788.html
just an idea, what happend if we take a aixiz labby 50 mw green (which work with cmount) and replace it by an other c mount (and removing KTp ect) : will we got a nice beam like the green one ?

It melt very well and i used it as a thermal interface between the cmount and the heatsink (no thermal grease)Indium is also used as a thermal interface material by personal computer enthusiasts in the form of pre-shaped foil sheets fitted between the heat-transfer surface of a microprocessor and its heat sink. The application of heat partially melts the foil and allows the indium metal to fill in any microscopic gaps and pits between the two surfaces, removing any insulating air pockets that would otherwise compromise heat transfer efficiency
