Pros and cons of YaBB and vBulletin

Yabb
Pros: Simple, Organized
Cons: Not as many features as we would like, Can get glitchy, flat file system

vBulletin
Pros: Friend system, contact, community groups, cool rep system, database based
Cons: Overly complex, tiny words(probaly can be fixed)

Any one got anything to add to the list?

Main con with YaBB is that it uses flat file system instead of database. With the growth of LPF it would be best to have a database backed forum. That is honestly main reason I am looking to switch

YaBB 3 is supposed to support a database but I don't know when it is going to be released or if we would be able to upgrade to it.

VB is the best.....

Most of the forums I frequent run VB including mine.

I've seen most forums upgrade to VBulletin over the past few years and I absolutely love it. The amount of features and customization is wonderful. If anybody here frequents GameFAQS I wish to hell that they would upgrade their forums to VB. They're stuck in the stone ages over there...
