Got bored and decided to start testing if any of the things I've been saving for years had any use. I gutted this from something a few years ago (don't remember what) but saved it in my electrical tool kit box with other lens's etc. Anyone know what it is? 2 picture of it and 1 picture of what happened when I hit it with laser :)

532nm, 447nm and 445nm reflect the dot pattern, my 635nm just reflects a single dot like a mirror does ?

532nm, 447nm and 445nm reflect the dot pattern, my 635nm just reflects a single dot like a mirror does ?

It looks like some kind of CCD. The sensor array is behaving like a diffraction grating. For some reason the coating on the glass cover is reflective in the red, so most of the light is never reaching the sensor.
