congrats on your build man,

that 18650 2600 Sanyo isn't the best choice :D

try a Samsung Panasonic 3000mAh+ they work better and longer.

or get a beefy 32XXX whatever that hosts accepts with higher capacity and discharge capabilities. It deserves a good battery  :D

My Sanyo can give the current to the driver no problem. But it drains in like 20 minutes :D

I am going to get a 32600 :) I'm waiting for it in the mail :D

I'm still new to the laser side of things, and alil familiar with leds, but wouldn't an AW be better, they handle crazy discharge rates, plus you can get up to a 3100mAh capacity. Of course, they are pricey too unfortunately.

AW 18650 Protected 3100 mAh Rechargeable Lithium Battery

If this is a stupid question, sry, just looking to learn.

I have an Awimr 2000mA that is not capable of supplying current for this build :)

The 32600 fits snug in that host where an 18650 would have to be centered somehow. Also they are rated 5000mAh.:)

Your IMR cell must be damaged or something as they are rated @ 10C and I have pulled more than 5A from those exact cells myself.:tinfoil:

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if they were damaged in shipping somehow :)

I wrapped the 18650 in electrical tape till it fit the host & pulled it off & made a spacer :)

Been there and done that with an m140 at an even 1.8a of current. Good job though, it is super rare to get one like that.
