Pioneer 16X BDR-209DBK

Have also jumped on numerous bluray diodes, now that they are in another priceballpark..

Got some of the lesser S06J and numerous BDR209 and some still in the sled, and yep its alsmost a shame to crank that nice sled up for these high powered bluray-short-leg-dwarfs, but on the other hand there is some extra eye'candy in these sleds, with numerous coated glass-optics you can fiddle with..

pictures is just from a cheap-mobile with macrolens, and in trying to get familiar with the markings to distinct the different diodes from each other.
(BDR209+limited sheet and S06J) + mit73 open-can pictures there came out pretty nice with the lack of equipment in mind, though not relevant here, but I was wondering if there is any pictures out there of an decan 209, are an sucker for the internal-views..

anyone knows who manufactures the laser diodes for pioneer 16x blu ray drives? I'm having problems with my BDR-209 405nm diodes, they give a bad beam profile. I want to buy some blu ray diodes but want to avoid at best from buying the actual expensive blu ray drives...

Re: Pioneer 16X BDR-209BK

SWEET! I was HOPING these would show higher powers than the diodes we have now...1250mW@just about an amp doesn't seem to shabby for a single mode 405... I am still interested to see what the wavelength shift is on these.

Thanks for the test, DTR!
Is the right or left pin + ?
