PHR-803T HD-DVD diodes GB# 3 <CLOSED>

I think we are starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel. Remember, the promise to "support" this failed technology was for only a year. I think the company that got the "contract" to provide that support is jumping for joy that there is a market for these damaged sleds. I think that soon, we will be posting about another diode.

Let's hope that the 8X/10X, makes the 6X so obsolete that there are surplus diodes left over then too.

Peace,
dave

Yeah they're just seconds, the proper sleds that can be used for the xbox repair market have to be faultless (as you'd understand) so always command a few $ more than the seconds. That's why there are so many cheap 803T sleds getting about.

That's why the 100 or so i'm getting are a bit dearer, they're not seconds.

Got mine today. Out of 4 only 1 had the IR diode hanging out and another was missing the metal plate covering the optics. Overall they are fine, I've tested one so far and it's great.
Thx AMK

If I wanted 'seconds' or broken parts, I would have gone to a GB for broken sleds, which were cheaper at the time. I went here instead.

hey guys... I have no idea what happened. I think The Seller ripped me off or something, I did not check the diodes themselves. The boxes looked like they were in good condition though...

I have no idea... I am sorry.

also, if your diodes "does not light" sorry, but you killed it. They are not THAT damaged. I also made sure to pack them carefully.

I specifically told the manufacturer I want these for the diodes, and so maybe he stuffed me onto the leftovers... I noticed how the boxes were different than last time...

they are not seconds, and damaged sleds include damaged diodes. The BLu-rays are in good condition I presume.

also, I know im triple posting, But I wanted to add this was my second and Last PHR GB. People have found em for cheaper, and This one blew a HUGE A S S crater into my wallet...

I finally received mine. All twelve were crushed, including the antistatic bags, but the boxes were all flawless. They have clearly been put into different boxes! Remarkably, all twelve violet diodes still worked. Total mechanical faults: 32. One was even rattling on the inside. Here are some nice pictures.

I marked the faults with red

Thanks for doing this, amkdeath!

It was a little disconcerting to see the LDs hanging on by only the ribbon cables, but they tested out just fine. :)

I received 2 of mine today! One of my sleds looked in bad shape, but the diode looks alright.

When are the other 2 I paid for going to arrive?

I've tested four diodes so far and one diode died strangely while (almost) overpowering them with 191mA. Another burned for 15 minutes at 55mA and the power dropped to 50%, this must have been a faulty one from the start.
