... Freaking out here, not sure what to do; I'm guessing I'm just out $700...

My PGL-III-C 473 50mW from GB #7 just started acting weird. The indicator LED doesn't turn off.

When the key is turned, the indicator LED is on, but dim. I press the button to turn it on, and the LED gets brighter, but it doesn't emit...

It was working 10 minutes ago; I'm presuming here i'm SOL...

sounds like the driver, gunna have to RMA it to CNI... good luck with that, they sent me 5 POS PGLs then I just gave up on CNI :/

No, you have 30 days where they'll pay the shipping costs back. After that theres the 3, or 6 month warranty. You just have to pay for shipping back to CNI to get it fixed.

It's a 6 month warranty.
Edit:
By the way, shipping my PGL-III-M 473 back to CNI cost me ~$170.
Contact Ava. She will help you out.

Do you know what their return period is? If it's 90; I should be barely making it.... I got it around 4/15.

Even if it's out of warranty, contact her anyway. In my experience she can be pretty understanding if her bosses will let her..

If you bought that in a GB, I don't know if they COME with warranties? For your sake, I hope they do, $700.00 is a BIG chunck of cash to have to eat............

Yes, even through the GBs they have warranties, and it's atleast 3 months.

If it's only 3 months, I have a matter of -days- left... I hope it's when I contact them and not when it arrives in China...

I know shipping to China is almost impossible, too... all these tarriffs and forms... I hope somehow this can work out, because yes, it is a huge chunk to eat... This laser was acting 'funny' from day 1; but then it started acting "better", so I decided to stick with it.. And now, nothing...

Good info. to know, thanks for sharing ! I hope I never need it though, (the warranty)...

ok, no I didn't RA, sorry, I'm in a bit of a panic... and was searching frantically for "CNI", "GB", and "Warranty" ... and probably not reading things calmly... You're positive that even through the GB's they have a 6-month warranty? I just sent an email off to Ava, explaining the situation....

I noticed when I got this, it was ultra-sensitive to fully charged batteries; (Basically I could only use slightly discharged batteries in it, or it'd drop to 10mW.) I wonder if the driver was marginal this whole time...

Yes, I'm pretty sure of it.
I've asked for quotes of several products and I have always been told that the warranty is 6 months.
I see no reason the GB should affect the warranty, as long as the laser has not been "tampered" with.

I am getting a replacement for my PGL-M 473. Production took about 20 days after they received it. Ava tells me that it should be shipping out today... or yesterday... whatever today is in China.
I expect to get the tracking info tonight. It has been exactly 1 month since I contacted CNI for replacement and this laser + shipping (80mW model) has cost me about $950 so far. Replacement is not fun, but I think it went pretty smooth considering they are based in China.
I hope the best for you...

Edit:
Have you checked the voltage of the battery right off the charger?
