I can't believe they went to the trouble putting these in a lab setup and left off the fan. The driver has a place for it. I would pass on this one just for that reason alone.

To be fair, at that power they don't really need it. Still, would be nice.

Might be starting to happen with yellow lasers too as we speak.

Yup. If that new yellow is direct doubling, there's no reason we won't see other colors coming soon too. I'm still waiting for ~605nm orange

It's so crazy that this is happening all at once. I'm curious to see what kind of setup these yellows have and just like you I'm hoping these magic crystals can produce orange wavelengths!

Wasn't it just like 5 months ago I opened a thread asking if a 495 diode could be put in a 405 chepie labby.. Glad I didn't pull the trigger and try now that these are available:whistle:

I wonder how well these beams match up ?

If it looks like a yellow beam it would be pretty cool, but if both lasers don't have the same beam dia. and divergence it wont be right, however if it is ..... 200mw could be a pair of single mode direct diodes of the same beam dia and divergence, I know my 50mw 520 has a tight spot far field as does the 185mw 638.

I bought from techhood before, they're pretty reliable as a seller.

Anyone like to try and tell what this might be ?. The sellers does not say much.

He calls it an LBO with a mirror. The LBO is obviously the purple square piece. The other bit does not look like a mirror to me. Maybe YVO4 or something ?

LBO Crystal

Seems cheap.

Looks like two pieces to me, an LBO? crystal with a mirror too. E: Someone glued a mirror to the side of the crystal.

LBO with the mirror coated to the surface, glued to a piece of acrylic or similar for mounting.

That'd be my guess.

Thanks. Trying to decide if its worth getting. The add says it came from a laser optical cavity. But nothing else.

No way to tell what wavelength the LBO is coated for. I did order the other cheaper LBO on ebay. Its coated for 561nm. If i can get the right IR i might be able to push it into yellow.
