PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please sub

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

That's literally an hour away from where I am. But unfortunately idk what I'd do with it ATM. :(

I bet since I could pick it up that the seller would take ALOT less too. Dang

Edit: I'm back to tag this on; Ti:sapphire Laser Rod, 10 mm (dia) x 20 mm (long) Brewster cut | eBay - but why are Ti sapphire crystal rods so damn expensive?

To be fair, that's a fairly large crystal, looks like it's in its original box and in good condition.

I'd imagine the higher cost is due to lower demand and increased difficulty in production vs Nd:YAG. Not to mention, we're used to getting Nd:YAG and such on eBay at surplus prices...

Has a lot of applications as a result, although the output is all Red-IR. Dye is more suitable if you want to go down to Yellow.

That's not a road you want to go down unless you're prepared for it to consume your entire life (At least CW dye). Trust me, I speak from experience.

If I had the disposable income and the space I'd be quite happy for it to consume my life. ;) I'd probably go the pulsed dye route though...

And yes ... sure hope none of those are leaking. :D

Working B&W Tek 473nm, fair price: B&W Tek BWB-10-OEM - 473nm 10mW DPSS Laser | eBay

Side pumped DPSS of some sort, possibly YAG? Looks like it's in good condition, unknown if working or not, may at least be useful for parts/mounts etc: DILAS diode laser modules&DPSS on support as photos, sn:836&837 d?m, not working | eBay

JDSU 532nm head - unknown if working or not: UNIPHASE GREEN LASER 4601-010-1000 532 nm 125 mW

Someone may have posted this already, 1W green for $150: 1.0W doing 840mw 532nm green laser module with modulation. Please read | eBay

Melles 2.5W 532nm, has issues, sounds like it could be an issue with one of the TECs in the head (There should be three, one for crystal assy., two for LD IIRC). Could be a driver or alignment issue too I guess ... would need to see it to be sure, similar to the two I have that had bad Nd:YVO4 crystals (Lasing <1mW as a result). This looks more promising than mine: 2.5W 532nm Melles Griot 58-GESR305 Laser head & power supply Lases but has issue | eBay

Coherent FAP (In housing with TEC etc): Coherent FAP800-50W-805 to 816, @ 80A Laser Diode Package (Verdi, Bad Spectrum ) | eBay

Coherent Compass 215M-50 - Good for Holography or other applications that require outstanding beam quality: COHERENT COMPASS 215M-50 CW Green Laser 50mW With Compass 315M Controller | eBay

Compass 315M-20 - Same as above: COHERENT COMPASS315M-20 532nm 20mW CW Green Laser w/ COMPASS315M (#1366) | eBay

Another 215M-50: Coherent Compass 215M-50 50Mw Laser SLM Holography | eBay

A 215M-15: COHERENT, COMPASS 215-15 LASER HEAD, AND COMPASS 215M MICRO CONTROLLER, 1 EACH | eBay

Another Coherent FAP, similar to the other one above: Coherent FAP800-12W-810nm, @ 17.5A, Laser Diode Package (Tested, Good Spectrum)

And another FAP, same as above: Coherent FAP800-12W-810nm, @ 19.1A, Laser Diode Package (Tested, Good Spectrum)

Any thoughts about this little fan-cooled 405nm labbie?
405nm 500mw Square High-power Blue Violet Laser Adjustable Focal Laser Head Lamp

Is it likely to actually be 500mW? What diode is the seller most likely using? I was under the impression that most 405nm diodes were single mode.

I have one like it.. it works but from a different seller.

He offers 30 day returns and if you had big problems could force a PayPal return I'd say it's worth the money to try it.

Not sure which diode I don't see much about it. COULD be that cheap 1w 405nm diode Than tung brought up

If it's like the (2) that I have, they have a 3.8mm diode inside, probably a bdr205/206 or similar, at least with mine. Definitely a single mode diode and it should be 500mw the same sellers also sell a 300mw, 400mw and a 500mw version.

That was one of my first lasers and was alot of fun to play around with. It can burn alot of things and if you look for a seller that will give you a warranty then you should have no problems. Plus having unlimited duty cycles are a treat.

I bought one of mine off Amazon (other e bay) and almost a year after it blew on me and the seller sent a brand new one. I ended up installing s06js in both but had to modify the inside to fit a 12mm module since the heatsink that was installed was for 3.8.

I bought it. Thanks for the info :)
