I heard carbon nanotubes have such a wide varoety of uses, they are really one of the inventions we will be seeing everywhere in the future. I also heard when you coil them up into a spring they become the bounciest material known. I'd love to see what a bouncy ball made out of carbon nanosprings could do.

Carbon nanotubes have also proven to be fairly toxic, as well as carcinogenic to quite a wide variety of life. Hopefully this one little bit of tech doesn't become the next "asbestos" debacle. But then even nano sized silver particles will deform the heck out of fish embryos in a lab. It's actually quite surprising what all becomes dangerous when finely divided to that level.
