Panasonic 3400mah 18650 Cell Now Available!

I agree with BShanahan . . .

The low IR power cells should be cooler than regular cells.

They might be charging faster with a given constant voltage being applied.

That is one advantage of the NCR18650PF cells.

How many amps are you charging at ?

Hey Larry,

Just wanted to say thanks for being so responsive.

Fast shipment, and the batteries and charger are great!

I'm Charging at 450 mA. These are (were) new cells
and maybe the long time to bring them from 3.63 Volts
caused this. Looking good now.
Thanks -- HMike

I have more coming to try in my WL green and Blue!!!

Sorry - I'm not much of a battery guru (or laser guru for that matter :-P).

Do you think these will work with PL-E Pro 800 mW 532nm Jetlasers Laser? - The Sanyo he sells on Jetlasers.org are only rated at 2600 mah!
If these mini hulks fit my laser (I believe that the PL-E Pro also uses 18650 cells), will there be a chance of them potentially damaging the internal components, because of over voltage, or something similar?

I just ordered one... And I will need some good batteries to go with it.
If these won't do, can someone point me in the direction of the best avaliable batteries that would go well with my laser?

I think that Gray uses the non-flat top batteries for his lasers.

Your efforts are much appreciated, thank you

(And sorry for partially hi-jacking your thread LarryDFW).

Regards,
Sajo

If the cell is a real Sanyo 2600mah, it will work OK in your laser.

Voltage is the same on all lithium cobalt cells @4.2 VDC (full charge).

The 3400mah Panasonic I sell will give you longer run times between charging.
It has ~ 31% more capacity.

They are available with Flat or Button-Top positive terminals.

The old girl lives again !!! These cells are---
33.8 Volts no beam
29.6 Volts @ 15 AMPS!! and it burns!!
I'll run them a bit and recharge them again.
15 AMPS!!! that's 0.035 Ohms per cell
not accounting for contact losses.
HMike

OMG my house stinks like crap again! I can burn anything!
These cells are BOSS !!!
Don't try this at home !!!!!!!

Yeah that sounds like a nice laser :D
and maybe kinda crazy dangerous

Anyway I'm glad I could help you these cells are indeed 'BOSS'

These cells are Samsung INR18650-20R.
They run the CO2 but at ~ 12 Amps, time
is still limited.
I put one in my old WL Krypton (1W green)
and it works well. Much more power stability
with time but I noticed some flickering and I
think its time to clean the contact surfaces.
HMike

I Cleaned some contacts and tried again.
It's a little cool here so I held it for a while to warm.
The 100% dust cover does cost ~75 mW in output
so it was removed. After 10 seconds, it actually hit 1 Watt
for about another 10 seconds. The power seems to dance
between 925 mW and 1 Watt over 30 seconds run.

I'm actually interested in 4x of the 3600mAh as well; not seeing them on your site, will follow up as well...

Lithium Cell Update

The shipping problems from China have created a big shortage of cells here in the U.S.

I sold the last of the NCR18650B cells today (Nov.21st)

I sold the last of the newer design NCR18650P series cells Nov.23rd.

I have another shipment of Panasonic cells on the way.

Expect them 3rd week of December.

Thanks;

Larry

Just ordered One cell, I understand I'll need to wait until you have them. they don't come from CNqualitygoods by any chance do they? I see I could get them there too for a bit less, but then would need to ship them from china

I don't buy cells from CN Quality.

The shipping charges are too high.

Since you adapted the existing 18650 cell you had to fit your laser . . .

I refunded your order.

I hope it IS a name-brand cell !

I just bought 4 more so I don't have to use my Tenergys anymore. These cells are pretty great.

I have some of these cells and they came in at 3.5 - 3.7 volts (i got 4 of them)

I am soon getting a Nitecore Intellicharger i4, but for the time being, i only have the classic cheap chinese charger. Like this: Rechargeable Single Slot Li ion Battery Charger for 26650 18650 18350 14500 | eBay

Anyways, i have the flat top, unprotected NCR18650Bs. Can i charge them with this charger or is it unsafe. Do these chargers cut off at 4.2 volts?

I have unprotected 32600s i charge with this charger and they come out at 4.1 volts usually

Thanks
-Matt
