tatman lives less than an hour away from me. Still cheaper to use the mail with the price of gas...

So you are still selling these lasers by what I can tell? If so I am very interested in one.

Yes, I have parts for everything except the FlexDrives, which are in-route. DrLava is expecting them Monday or Tuesday. Which means my back ordered drivers should get to me next week.

I have a few builds ahead of you, but they are already built and just waiting for the FlexDrives.

I am taking orders on a 'first pay, first serve' basis. I think 100mA's is good for longevity, but many are running these diodes higher. I can set it at what ever the buyer wants!

Yes I wanted to buy both of the lasers, to compare the two.

Now you've got me curious. It is your money. You can certainly do with it what you will.

However, what would be the purpose of "comparing" the two lasers?

Peace,

Just let me know what Igor sets the current at so I can turn mine up a tad! ;D

Just kidding...

You know, it's the same diodes. I'm using the FlexDrives, which are top notch, but I'm sure IgorT makes excellent drivers too.

The main thing, is which host/battery configuration and capacity 'tickles your fancy'...

For my Pocket Pal, using 3 X AAA batteries, gives a huge capacity in such a small host. It also gives you the option of using rechargeable AAA's as well! ;)

I'm looking forwards to buy one of those... ::) ::)
I sent you an email.
Can you tell me what material is that cool thing where you write on it in the laser video, where can I buy it?

Thanks a lot and sorry for my English ...

Hey jay, I was wondering do you still make heatsinks for these?

Yes, I make the heatsinks for the DX sku 46 host. I have adjusted the fit of the heatsink, so that you can follow my 'Pocket Pal Tutorial'. It is the exact same build, just using a black host, instead of the blue one. Here's the tutorial:

Here's a picture of the Sku 46 heatsink...

The O-ring (pictured and explained in the tutorial) is included. You would need a 1.5mm Allen wrench for the set screw.
$23 dollars plus shipping...

PuTzu, I got your Pocket Pal blu-ray done! Turned out very nice...

I am now using my Coherent PowerMax 5200 digital read meter for the power measurements. It has the PM3 thermal sensor.

It will be in Monday's mail. Please let me know when you get it! :)
