"Can be seen from outter space" Bull.
"Most efficient flashlights" Bull.
White LEDs are more efficient than 445nm diode alone, correct? That, PLUS phosphor conversion, can't possibly be as efficient as an LED.
Even with all the video editing magic it doesn't really appear to be bright enough to raise an eyebrow. My little pocket 16340-powered light appears to be more powerful than that.
I wonder what's that little attachment gonna cost.
White LEDs are blue LED+phosphor. This thing (and those BMW prototype headlights) are blue laser+phosphor. Laser diodes are more efficient at producing light than LEDs. Assuming phosphor conversion efficiency is similar (any why wouldn't it be?), this device could be more efficient.
WL runs "contests" and will "reward" members of their forum and FB page for positive posts and reviews in other forums
That's why it is normally fairly new and/or inexperienced people posting these types of things
WL has also been known to have an employee pose as a "normal" user to post positive threads and to defend WL from criticism
It's all just marketing
If there wasn't some other good info about LED and laser/phosphor already posted in this thread, it would have been deleted completely
It was basically just an advertisement for WL
