Hello all. I have been lurking on this site for a bit. My jump into this hobby was a purchase of DTR's 22mm modules. I used to be into RC cars and boats a few years ago. That wasnt a cheap hobby at all. I dont think this venture will be either but so far its fascinating. I am a land surveyor by trade. Most of our equipment utililize lasers of some type for measuring distances. The static laser scanners we use put off a green laser light on reflective surfaces at night. The mobile lidar units do not give any kind of light show. Very nerdy line of work.
I'm looking to step into the diy stuff as i aquire more tools specific to this hobby and brush up my soldering. I wanted to get one of those wicked lasers and after a few years of procrastination i went for it and found out they dont ship to the US and why. Since the FDA didnt want me to have one, I decided I must have atleast one.
