Well there's no opinion when it comes to the workload on the mods if every post is to be approved. I mean my god that's insane. We all hate spam but we can't let it get under our skin either. Not good for your health. Like right now I'm somehow getting notifications on my phone for advertisements creditkarma. I scanned for malware and nothing turns up. It's frustrating as hell especially when I have no idea how to stop it but I try to just ignore it too so I know where you're coming from.

Since the forum upgrade a year ago (a so) its getting worse and worse. Ads everywhere and spam too.
What about an extra area for new members, they have to post X post in Y days first, before being able to post somewhere else?

MYB the 'system' that stops new threads (by new members especially) in BS&T could do that for new members wanting to make any new thread except 'Intros' in Newcomers section??

Something changed, I can no longer highlight and delete entries into the entry block for new posts, it really sucks.

yes... I also noticed this too.
Not usable anymore.
Some of the advertising on here is so invasive it pops up in the middle when you are trying to write a response. Some advertising on here has also triggered a security response with my Kaspersky Internet security which I am forced to use for work -
These ads are tracking content in the posts. This tracking isn't something that has been consented to by me and is completely disruptive. I strongly dislike having my searches pop up in different areas clouding my view while I am in the middle of typing.
As the page owner you must disclose that you are running tracking ads on your site. You have so far neglected to do so.
Why the use of this kind of format when other forums operate on WordPress and are cheaper to operate? I don't see much in the way of improvements rather a slow degradation in usability.

I was able to highlight, finally, thing is, it is difficult to see if it was highlighted and only allowed me to do so during a second edit, and sometimes the server is slow to echo what you have done such as highlighting. Also, when typing HTML, such as for colors, and you post and decide you need to use a better color, i.e., yellow instead of blue due to visability, that html text I had entered earlier is no longer available to simply edit in a different color, I had to highlight each line individually and reselect the color each time.
When I do a control A to copy all of the text from an entry block, I cannot see it has captured it, in that case I don't think it does.

I just set up a monthly donation to LPF, please turn off the advertisements. I will also be removing my monthly from the other account I no longer use, so please don't think I am cancelling for this account when I do so, as it comes from the same PPal account.

If I understand correctly, the only way to combat FB and google analytics on this forum is to use just one browser for LPF as well as a VPN, and then never use that browser for anything else, that way they cannot cross track you with cookies etc.
Watching Braxman's videos on the Odysee.com web site (YT alternative) and I'm starting to see how much we are all being used by big tech and how much worse it could potentially get. They already have our data, already have droves of personal connect the dots information which they use to push advertisements towards us. In the future, this information could easily be used against each of us, especially if the USA turns socialist and then communist as has happened to China.

I understand your privacy concerns. I’m also currently trying to get people close to me off WhatsApp regardless of whether they implement these new t&c’s or not. Truth is they already have agreed to some of this activity.
You could also use Tor browser. I’ve downloaded it on my pc. Just be aware it is a slow browser and that due to its high security a small percentage of exit nodes may be owned by security agencies. But as long as you are not using it for illegal activities then you have the closest thing to anonymity and non-censored web. It’s hard to trace back to the users. Security agencies would only waste their time and resources on those that they think are a threat. Keep your browser windowed and limit your own browser uniqueness such as add ons/extensions.

You might be able to automatically remove the image containers with the ads (top and bottom of website) each time you visit an LPF page using the GreaseMonkey extension. AdBlock will take care of the others
