Last point of concern, this host as a port to charge, and can charge a 18650. But is the given 18650 going to work with this driver

No, with the M140 and that driver you need 2 batteries. Also how do you know the driver and heat sink will fit that host? It is very likely you would have to send it to one of the machinists here to have a heat sink made for it.

Yes it's a legit product, I recognize it, some people here have one of those, but buying an under $10 532nm is always a gamble.

Yep, I have lots of them, they produce 50-60mw on average, range from 30 to 100mw luck of the draw. Often, 25% of the measured output power is IR, so if it measures 50mw without a filter that means maybe 37mw of the power is actually 532nm green. They are plenty powerful enough to see the beam at night but quality can be poor to good, luck of the draw on that too.

Okay perfect.

Can you give me a good link on Amazon for batteries on this, I saw a few ultrafires but everyone has advised against them.

And also will the Aluminum heatsink be okay for this power of a build

Yes aluminum is ok, it's a big heat sink. What charger do you have? Can it charge 26650? Or only up to 18650?

You need to have a charger when the batteries arrive, you will need to charge them before use. I recommend one of these:

Yes but apparently that host also comes with an adapter for 18650, so either one or maybe both sizes.

Voltage is the same with nearly all of them, 3.7V (these charge to 4.2V) and don't worry about the mAh, that has nothing to do with how much current, it's only an indication of how long the batteries last on one charge, the driver draws whatever current it needs from the batteries.

So get any button top 26650 and/or 18650, just don't get the generic blue ones with no brand name, also Ultrafire are very low quality, typically less than 1/3rd the stated capacity "mAh", some people say don't buy anything with "fire" in the name however I have 2 pair of Trustfire that are good but they are cheap so I am not recommending them, better brands are: Efest, AW, Nitecore, Samsung, LG, Sanyo, and a few others.

The batteries I have are Samsung, Efest, Trustfire, and the blue ones you should avoid. I bought them on both Amazon and Illumn. The same with chargers, I have 3 and bought them both places, don't get a really cheap charger. You can also buy tiny neodymium magnets and use them to convert flat top batteries to button top, the ones I have are 1/8" x 1/16" and I bought a package of 100 on Amazon, you can also buy them here: https://www.unitednuclear.com

With that host you may be able to use 2-18340's to get your voltage to run the diode and driver. Those two cell will take up the space of one 18650 cell and double the volts you will need.
 
Okay So I bought the kit but I still need batteries and a charger. I know Pi mentioned something about an adapter so Does that imply I wouldn't have to buy a charger? Because right now cheap is best.

I also need to know how long I can run this laser before giving it a break in this JAD kit, and also how often I will be recharging the 18650's with the adapter (given) and how long will the charging take. Please send me a link to a good 18650, yall are amazing
