Wow, that one beautiful sunset? sunrise? Either way it's just awesome.

Been in the field for work for the last month or so... this was one of our catches! :)

Nice shot also, grow up in Missouri, know about them, awesome to watch, but so dangerous.

Nice landscape, ArcticDude. Looks rather warm there now. Got to be better than all that snow.

Looks like a very nice view indeed, though i would hve highlighted those trees a bit, or shadowed them to black and cropped the image a bit for maximum visual impact.

But beyond that it's pretty curious why many people like the image of sunset that much. I surely do, perhaps due to the colours, or perhaps it signifies something?

Very nice picture. I'm guessing it's a view outside your cabin. ( ok I'm jealous) :D

Been studying the relationship between ISO, aperture and shutter speed. Been giving me a headache, but I'm working on it slow and steady. :)

Thanks Paul, Benm and Bob!

Actually that was taken few hundred meters from our house and it's just one of 187 888 lakes over here. There is always new lake after another.

I guess it's due amazing colors against blue sky and because light is coming in low angle and reflecting from cloud bottom. In a day time light is coming above the clouds and when the light is hitting on bottom surface of the clouds it will make look them different than we used to see.

Another shot from last evening.

I think someone is spoiled rotten. I'd be happy with a small pond.

Now am doublely jealous!
( 188 lakes to choose from ) must be nice. :D

Keep those beautiful pictures coming. I still trying to figure out my new camera, slow and steady. But sooner or later.
:)

Very nice, ArcticDude. I do love your landscapes. I hope you are enjoying summer there.

Oh well, i love indonesia and visited many times, which is sort of the opposite of having too many lakes: having too many islands. Depending on how you define what an island is the number varies, but it's in the order of 10.000.

Some of them are huge, some of them tiny, but taking a sunset picture from every single on of them would probably take the rest of my natural life to do.

Many of the smaller ones are not inhabited so you'd have to go there by boat and anchor on the coatsline and then somehow make it ashore.

It would be somthing i'd love to do, but sadly is too expensive at this time to actually accomplish. I guess it's possible if you are good at making youtube videos and have patreon support as well. The cost of living is pretty low there, but the cost of getting to these islands can be very high, mostly for the unnhabited ones that have no scheduled ferry connections - you'd basically need to rent (or buy) a ship and pay employee wages all of the time.

One hundred and eight seven thousand lakes? How to you tolerate such a thing? Must be sooooo difficult!

I feel your pain! :D

Yes it's really difficult, I can barely tolerate all those lakes. -And only because I have my lasers, thank god... :D :D

Would love to see your sunset pictures!!

I'm afrid I'm never able to visit Indonesia, temperatures over +20*C are way too hot for me. -If you got nature pictures from Indonesia it would be great if you could share some of those, please.

:)

Man, you get a lot of fog in the summer months. Very nice sunsets. Would rep you, but have to wait.
