Some guy put a laser in a mustard bottle and when you squeeze it the laser turns on :crackup:
 





I need some help my PHR wont burn its set at 98ma-ive checked that. and its running from two CR123a's 1800mah 3.6v. Can any1 help?
 
ahaha thanks it is pretty retarded ,can u help me with it not burning?
 
I got my phr 803 at ~120ma doing about 75mw with an acrylic lens. Runs off 2 AA batteries.

As for the burning, Have you got your lens focused properly? Use some goggles to help focus and then try to burn. Also what are you trying to burn? I found that mine can do black leky tape pretty well
 
ye pretty sure their focused, you got any tips to do it better, trying to burn a red safety match, maybe i need a glass lens?
 
No you shouldn't need a glass lens. I'm using the standard acrylic one and it works well. Let me grab a vid for u ~in progress~

got it to singe but still wont ignite a match

EDIT: THanks got it to ignite finally lens took a long time to play around with, thanks

Maybe it is because it is in the case and the focus is set too far away. Try taking it out of the case or move it closer to the opening and focus the beam closer to the lens and give that a try
 
You might burn the diode before you burn anything with it. You really should have some better heatsinking, even in a ghetto-rigged "retarded"--albeit charming--case like that. I've lost many a diode from that :(

Don't know if you are being sarcastic here but since you are a new member, he stated that it's a phr 805 which is 405nm

the vid that I posted was a phr 803 which is also 405nm but I think it can't be pushed as high as the 805's
 
Folks have all seen my first attempt at building.

...tbh, I haven't advanced much since then because I don't yet have a paypal... *sigh* i'll get there in the end.

Start with something like this, and work your way up. Your next one will be a little better, and the sky's the limit.

I know what it is... It was talking about his host. It was sarcasm based upon the first replies. Go back and read them. :D
