My Rainbow -- Post Pic's of Yours

Nice job trencheel! You can easily see how thinner the beam of your Rigel is when compared to others :)

Couple of pics found elsewhere on forums but some of the best I have taken with my low mpixel camera. 445, 532, 589, 660:

I'm aware I suck at photography, but here's a shot with most of my blue/green wavelengths. I aligned all the dots on the wall (big dot on the right) and took the picture with a diffraction grating in front of the camera.

Both the 445nm and the 462nm are severely underdriven (the 462nm is just above threshold) and therefore probably lower than the nominal WL values.

It's funny how the 405nm looks almost pink when close to the other blues, and how the 473nm looks slightly greenish if I leave only the three blues on.

Also note the big gap where 488nm ought to be.

That's my poor man rainbow, 405nm, 532nm and 650nm. Got the 405nm LD for U$2,00 from a trashed blu-ray drive!
Was needed a lot of fog to make the 405nm laser visible, and my camera seems that don't like it!
650nm: 250mW; 532: 75mW; 405nm: ?mW.

I have the complete opposite problem. I'll trade you :na:

no thanks :tinfoil: but I will be selling one of those monster uniphase tubes as soon as I get a couple new power supplies for them. as well as some smaller ones. I gotta finish paying off my 589 and put some money back in the bank to pay bills :D

Hey guys, just a simple RGB rainbow featuring my Jetlasers Ti-B's.
I recently completed the Osram 450nm build, so I thought I'd take a look at them side by side.

Beautiful photos very well done, what's the wavy reflection surface below the beams? Makes a very neat effect. Also nice matching set, I still want my rgbv matching set.

My dream would be all 1w+ RGBV, could make some very nice photos then

I hope you'll forgive me for posting this pic here too, I did post it in another section but hadn't seen this thread.

How about a wobbly rainbow?
Hope you enjoy.

Hey Bruce, thanks, glad you liked it! I really should do an actuall beam shot with them in that configuration.

@ xirrious, Thanks, they're just cell phone pics, but they didn't turn out too bad; I've got to get a good camera one of these days!
The wavy surface is just the underside of an outdoor patio table that I have stored in my barn for the winter. :)
A 1W+ RBGV set would be very nice. These are single mode low power units; the Ti-B's aren't really made for high power.

Here's another pic showing that wavy surface in a better light.

Looked almost like they were sitting on the garage floor. The long exposure pond shot is beautiful too man, I want to get into photography !
