it looks around 615ish according to your color graph i had my wife give me a second opinion to make sure it wasn't biased. ill take a picture next to the graph.

Too sweet! Treat it like the treasure that it is. Orange HeNe's have not been made for some time. They are quite rare. I have bought EVERY one I have ever seen. I still own it ;)

Counting yours, I now know three people with one ;)

What does the warning label say? It'll tell you for sure. :)

it doesn't say the wavelength for either of them. its around 611 or so on the color scale.
 
Interesting. But if you ever go to sell it just make sure to get it measured on a spectrometer. I pulled out my 594.1nm HeNe to compare against the image daguin posted and it was far more orange than what the chart said it should be.

Based on just the chart, I would have said this yellow in this image is in the 590-595 region:

It's reality it's 577nm OPSL. Also according to that chart, our 650nm pointers should be the color in the attached image. It looks rather orange to me?

well in all honesty it looks more orange then yellow. i found this and the red one sitting on a shelf in my office. apparently its been there since like 2006. it was installed in a night club previously but i guess it had got taken out and since had been sitting in my office. i came by it because no one had any cables to control it. me being me tinkered with it and made it work. i was allowed to keep them because there was no use for uncontrollable lighting effects. i found a few other laser effect pieces but all had ether a self contained system or a control option. i really would like to say that if anyone one here is looking for a good price on that kind of thing to hit me up cause i could prolly make it worth your while.
 
The tube looks like an REO metal tube. No hint of a model number or anything on that metal tube?

I suppose there's another possibility: 604...
 
I think 604 would be too gold. I'm almost 100% sure its not a 594.1 because that is too much yellow. I'm 99% sure now from this thread that it is a 611.9. about the serial number or model number its on the bottom of the tube so in order to see it ill have to take the tube out. unfortunately i don't have any torque bits (the star shaped) to take the screws off so ill have to get back to you on that when i get some. i'll try to go today. I can at least tell you it's made by PMS or REO and the fixture its in was made in 1995.

I don't know I can't really make out a difference between the two colors because some 593's look darker and some look lighter same with the 612's. i think i would either A: have to actually see both side by side or B: get a spectral analysis meter and measure the wavelength. I can't take my tube out because of the torque screws. I got a torque driver but i broke 4 already trying to get the screws out but they wont budge and its only like 3 screws i cant get out. I mean i guess i could drill them out but i want to be able to put screws back in. oh well.
 
Would you take a photo of the warning label on the orange/yellow system? Even without the wavelength it could potentially help - it looks like it's got a lot of information on it.
