Multiline Argon laser cheap! Michican, USA

I don't think there is any major difference in the units besides one having a slightly larger sample tray

Hmm looks like we have some competition here :p

got mine for 100$, picking it up Thursday. 100$ multiline argon, bow down plebs!

hahaha, i keed, i keed. but for my first gas laser, honestly...what more could i want? 100$ is just nothin'. extremely happy i found this thread!

Very lucky :p I'm working with the eBay seller right now to get these disassembled :eg:

Ok so what can I expect out of these Argons? Looks like 6 lines, 50-100mW? Sound about right?

yea thats about what ive gathered...if you want, you could just wait a few days to get yours, until i get mine and post some pics up. how far away are you from sturgis, MI (where the ebay seller is)?

man i sure hope the laser works :(
would be super awesome if it did....100$ argon is dang sexy!

True. Awaiting disassembly results from the eBay seller :p

Make sure the seller keeps the laser's interface cable plug, it has the interlock connections on it, the laser won't start without it plugged into the psu

From my personal experience.
The two 373's I've bought both had Cyonics 2201 40ML Argons in them.

One had both the power supply and head working. Just required a couple connections on the unit to get it to run in idle mode. Clicked off the first try and runs 7 lines at 40mw

The second one had a good power supply with a bad head. Picked up a head from DJMatt last year at SELEM and it runs on first click and I get 6 lines at about 55+mw with his head.

There are a couple newport mounts in the 373s plus a good DC power supply and some optics, plus the stuff listed above.

Both of mine had black box power supplies. Looks like Marios' had a blue box one. Don't know if there is a difference.

One power supply had a standard plug, the other was some weird plug that I had to cut and connect a normal plug to make it work.

Let us know what you come up with.

The seller says he doesn't have the interface cable plug....but his units are completely in tact, so the cable should be on the inside, right? Sorry for derpy doo question, just gotta make sure.

Any reason you did not post that in the ebay thread?

I dare you to find four threads in this entire sub-forum that don't fall under the category of "internet finds of interest." Some items warrant more discussion. :)

SO! picked up the whole sequencer today, spent 4 1/2 hours tearing it apart...and what a PAIN it was. yeesh, hope to never do that again. anyway, i get the laser out, am all excited, go to plug it into the wall..... and imagine that; the laser PSU uses a TR-20 plug. my wall plugs are ALL NEMA 5-15. so i guess ill go buy an adapter tomorrow, majorly ticks me off though. i just want to see it run dangit!

hopefully i can upload some nice beam shots tomorrow..
