I tried plenty of fish but it seemed like everyone on there wanted to chat but never to meet.
there were also a lot of entitled women on there that had no reason to be.
I had no interest in online relationships so I left an addendum to my profile explaining my experience and found a girlfriend in person.
I'm not a bad looking guy, probably too intimidating in my features but it took 3 days of chatting with people in person to find a good one.
What I found REALLY helped me was to pay random women a compliment and then carry on with what you were doing. (try not to pay TOO many compliments during the relationship, it seems disingenuous)
If you notice someone has made the extra effort, I'd say something like "your hair looks really pretty today", the carry on shopping.
Some will look too deep into the compliment and think it's just you trying to get into their pants. Try to avoid conceited girls like that anyway, they are "takers". You want a "giver"
It's actually pretty great knowing that 15 seconds of your time has made someone's day exponentially better. Just try not to be too effusive lol.
I met my girlfriend at the swimming pool, she was having problems with the brakes on her van and I offered to take a look at it. **Oddly I had already met her daughter (10 at the time) when she asked me to find her goggles at the bottom of the pool. She already knew about the shark spearfishing stuff**
I hadn't even considered dating her until we got chatting while we bled the brake lines.
The fact that she liked to get her hands dirty was one of the things that made me consider her dating material.
