Hi All,

The new "DarkShadows-Responsive' layout (mobile responsive) is available for testing. You can select is for use in the very bottom left drop down menu on LPF.

The goal is to have a single style that automatically works easily on both mobile and non-mobile devices.

*Note: registered / logged-in users will see much less ads. Ads help pay for LPF business costs such as hosting.

Please let me know your feedback regarding the new style.

Have a great week, guys

Peace

Spacing is a bit off on main forum index, would also like control panel link by Home or Menu if possible, aside from that, seems to work fine on shield tablet.

Sitting on the porcelain throne when this update came through, tried it out and although it could do with some smoothing out its definetly an improvement when using a mobile device (Chrome, Samsung S4, Android).

Also loving the lack of that huge ad/page of links at the top of the page, almost muscle memory to automatically scroll down as soon as this site loads :P

@InfinitusEquitas

what exactly do you mean by "Spacing is a bit off on main forum index" so I can relay what to fix to the designer?

Please keep the feedback coming guys=) Looking to change over to this style on this Friday or Saturday

Best Regards,

-Avery

It seems a bit squashed at the place where you click to quote, rep, etc. I do like how the avatars are at the top of the posts though.

It is very sensitive to wide sigs though and that messes the page up.

Hey Simon,

Yeah, I noticed the sig stretch issue as well, reported that one for fixing.

I'll take a look later but I usually can't stand mobile versions of any site. I don't get why my Galaxy Note 4 doesn't allow me to select desktop site permanently instead of having to manually select it for each site:(

I'm in the process of updating the layout for bug fixes / etc. It will be unavailable during this time. I'll post here again when its back up

Hi guys, the updated mobile version is installed.

At first glance it looks like the issues with signatures causing stretching is fixed. Also the Top Forum Stats on main page is working now it appears on my phone.

I had to clear my browser cache / history on my phone for everything to start working. It is very possible you might not see the changes if you also didn't clear history / cache

Please re-test and let me know thoughts. I think we are likely on pace to cutover to this style tomorrow evening.

Its similar to the signature issue. The stats table is screen wide, but the rest of the forum index above it is narrower.

The user profile by the avatars on posts is also missing, location, rep, post count etc,.

please clear browser cache and try again to see if stats table is fixed

i had to so that to get changes to come thru

ill see if the post count, etc can be added

this is c0ld just using this account for testing layout

Cleared cashe, the forum index is still too narrow, while the stats/recent posts screen is full width.

Doesn't really affect anything, just looks off.

Same thing in both chrome and Firefox tablet browsers.

Hi Guys,

I'm changing over to the mobile responsive layout. I think most issues are fixed now. Some are still being worked on but shouldn't be critical to functionality of site (e.g. displaying rep and post count in posts).

Please report any remaining issues here. It is very important include screenshot of any problems (including the exacting mobile device and browser you were using).

Also if you notice a problem, it could be because you didn't clear your browser cache entirely. The other day I spent a lot of time on an issue only to find it was because my browser cache wasn't cleared

Best Regards,

-c0ld
