Spyder, yes they would be interchangealbe. I did not do it, because my chrome Pocket miny style host is a good flashlight that I kept, but the threads are the same. And I am sure it will work.

As for the pictures, they just don't do this host justice, I don't think any pictures would. ;D It is so much better looking in person. The knurling (right word?) and overall features on this light are very nice, even has a option to thread some rubber into the 3 grooves on the side like the Kryton barrels. For a relatively cheap flashlight from DX, the quality is amazing, especially the chrome finish and heavy feel. It definitely will make once fancy laser, that's for sure. I like the light so much that I couldn't resist buying the CR123 version of this a few days ago. Same look and build, just slightly wider (but shorter) and probably heavier!
