it will still light fireworks, of course, just not as fast as with a good lens. Those casio lens "wings" probably shoot about 40% of the light off to the side :yabbmad: On a side note, do you guys think it's safe for me to light fireworks with a laser around other people provided I exercise obvious safety eg. "stand the hell back" and "I'm pointing this mofo at the ground for a reason!"? I figure fuses and grass aren't super reflective.... what do you think?Better yet, that smoke was from black powder which I ignited with the laser

it was about ~7ft away and took 1-2 seconds to start smoking....
I think you should focus the beam farther away than 2 inches, it would be really bad if fuse residue got stuck on the lens, that stuff STICKS.I still have to go firework hunting, I may plan to create a little rig for my host for lightning fireworks...A simple clip that adds a thin tube with black inside. In short, a way to hide the laser. This way the only visable beam goes 2" long and then goes into the tube so theres no light splash. The only time you will get light splash is when you stick the fuse in the beam for under .1 seconds.
running at exactly 1A I take it? Must be the type of wood my door is made of. Some woods burn slower than others.

alright, good. I'm not too concerned about lighting fireworks with this lens right now because I HATE this lens. I couldn't care less if it got soot on it. But I wouldn't want you to get your nice lens all dirtySince its a temporary deal, im gona hot glue a peice of acrylic to the aixiz module, since hotglue doesnt stick that good to aluminum.
I have it all planned out, will be fine
S While the laser is in the 1" PVC pipe, there's no blue light visable except for the hole for the fuse, which is dim anyways
This sounds less fun than a bic lighter.
I think as long as you point it at the ground it's safe. Grass isn't very reflective...True but how else do you do it with people around...Besides buy a couple hundred pair of laser glasses
do some reading around the forum. There is lots of info, don't just ask right here. Read the stickies at the top of the general section of the forum.hi all...
I'm from Vietnam
