2AMPS?!?!?
i was afraid to go to 1amp. sigh, looks like i'm rebuilding my driver... again....
lol... I set my microboost to the maximum range, and I metered it at about 660mA. I then, the very same day, proceeded to max it out and I am MUCH happier. I think just above an amp is a good mixture of crazy power, diode life, and runtime.

Thanks but eyeglasses shops in my city are poor, it's most likely that they don't sell it.
But I'll try.

What if I try to clean lens with alcohol?
I doubt they don't have it. And some people use alcohol, but I don't recommend it as it can be bad for AR coatings and will kill the diode if it gets in. You should really look around for some lens cleaner, you will probably save cash and do better with it... plus I don't know a single glasses shop that doesn't have microfiber (you NEED that, it helps a lot)

I took these last night..

I thought it was really cool how the water was bending the light.
it almost looked like the light was contained in the beads of water even after it separated from the stream

Cool pictures...

Yeah that's weird how water does that. I've built water features into custom pool projects that do that with fiber optic lighting (with changing colors) pointed into a stream of water. The water has to be a nice smooth stream and it looks like a rod of light bending...

I posted this in the page before, you might of missed it.:) Here is a lens cleaning pen its only $2.92 cents and free shipping Hope this helps:)
thanks for the link, I was gonna get one but decided I didn't really need it. BTW that video is from before we had these power concentrations... now you need some kind of solvent to loosen melted stuff sometimes. Good video nonetheless though.

very cool. Aren't you the one with the sweet pool? Are you a pool contractor professionally or something? :D

Yeah an out of work pool contractor... (economy) I'm a garage machinist now!

that would explain where all these heatsinks come from! I was wondering what a pool contractor was doing with lathes in his garage...

The 2 amps is impressive. Would be nice for someone to do a test on it's life and monitor the lens output (see if it's burning out).

I'm sure they wouldn't last too long in terms of long life. May last a few months...be nice to know! Afterall, remember how people said the 8x bluray diode is equal to the 12x bluray diode? Who's to say these can't handle a little more ;)

i have some more pics for you guys

*no fog machine the only smoke in there is from the table it hit

lol... I really wish I could get my glass lens in before the 4th, this would be spectacular in all the firework smoke if HS's vid is anything to go by. :cryyy:

Better yet, that smoke was from black powder :D which I ignited with the laser ;)
