Mech Mods and DTR laser can

I just got this Tesla Fire Phoenix 0.1 Mechanical MOD for about $25 shipped on eBay. It also has the 5-click/2-sec ON/OFF feature (specs online were inconsistent so I tested it). Feels nice and solid, has some weight.

Very nice indeed OVNI.
Is this the one that can be charged via USB?

:thanks:

You guys are really starting to make me jealous. I need to really get a job soon because I want to make one of these

I believe it can. Again specs online are all over the place but I found this:

"This Aspire USB Charger cable can be used with any Aspire CF batteries (as well as most eGo style batteries)."

Thanks OVNI.

Well I decided to put all the parts into one case for ease and protection of the parts.
Here's all the parts and batteries with some room for expansion.

And for any noobs reading this, ***PLEASE don't forget the safety goggles, MOST IMPORTANT***
I always use Survival Lasers Eagle Pair.

Thanks Rich.
It's because of you putting me onto the Poldiac Mech Mod, as you know.
And it's DTRs great range that makes for great choices in the 510 22mm modules.
As for battery chargers, I've got three Nitecore i4s that I'm very happy with.

didn't see this answered in the thread, but can the aspire switch and LED handle two batteries for my 3W?

Hi ,
Most likely yes i run two 18350's or 2 16340's in my vape, but some are longer than others and the tailcap will screw on but not all the way. So i don't see why not should run a 3W diode. Maybe someone else can chime in on this also Maybe RB can answer further .

The Aspire can use 2 x 16340 "NON PROTECTED" but it's a tight fit and the end cap will not screw all the way on, the Aspire has no battery springs, it's a tight fit made to fit a non protected 18650.

The numbers tell you the battery width and diameter.

An 18650 is 18mm wide and 65.0mm long.

So 2 16340 batteries are not quite as wide and together add up to 68.0mm long.

Some batteries have protection and some are closer in spec than others, so just the right 16340 batteries can be made to work, but the end cap may not screw gown all the way.

There are telescoping mods and often you can put 2 together.

Hi Thanks Red for the input i run mine with two cells if it had a string in the tail cap you could shorten it , but it doesn't and you wind up only getting a few threads to fasten on the cap

Yes you can, like Rich and RedC said, I've done it (see my earlier post in this thread.)

RB astro said:
The beauty of this Aspire is that you can squeeze in two 16340's (the shorter 33.5mm ones) for a voltage of 8.2v so you can run the 638nm, 465nm and the 520nm at full power.
The batteries need to be the shorter ones though as the longer ones just don't fit.
And they work well with the Aspire.
The 405nm is the only one that takes one 18650 only, as it works on around 4.2v. (two 16340's will blow it fast)

I like this one you can see the cell inside, and 26650 that's the one I want !
how about a link to this one...

Thanks OVNI. :)

Also bought this one on ebay for around $11 USD.
Probably take a month or two to arrive but it's a nice 26650 battery model.
Should go well with my 405nm.

ah. I could also squeeze in the CR123A rechargeable batteries that I have. 6 volts could still be doable.
