Since 2009 I always stumble across some interesting nicknames. I was wondering, where did you get your nickname from and does it have any special meaning? :yh:

Mine was a cheat code in "Medal of Honor: Frontline" which made you kill nazis with one bullet :p What about yours?

King David (from the Bible)
Alan Ladd (a movie star when I was born)
My father's adopted name

I worked alot with satellite programming and one of the terms for intermittent transmission during weather is Rainfade. ;)

Mine comes from the son of the Greek god Titan Hyperion. Mythology depicts Helios as a man who drives the chariot of the sun across the sky each day.

Greek mythology is interesting.

chipdouglas is from an old tv show. it was nick name of a character.

i happen to come across it in a funny movie with Jim Carey called The Cable guy. It was one of his alias'... my first year of high school in 1994 i set a free hotmail account with it and i have kept it ever since.

michael.

Mine is a fantasy name of a character from a role play game created about 20 years ago. It was originally created on the basis of Tom Araya, the bassist and vocalist of the Slayer :yh:

ice is an archaic word for security. Specifically from the book Neuromancer and was adopted into a number of TV shows and movies like Max Headroom.
It dealt primarily with computer security although it can also mean security systems in general.

I work in the security field. I bypass different security systems every day. Some are physical, some are electronic/access control, some are digital/computer based.

Then you must be "black ICE", LOL (just kidding :p :D)

Mine is in the sig ..... just the acronym of an old USN (failed, as far as i know) experiments :p

Mine was given to me 28 years by my mums freind, he said "whats his name?" she said "peter" , and he said "heyyy pedro" in a very bad mexican accent, Ped abbreviated has stuck ever since and its what EVERYONE now calls me.
