If the flyback was in resonance then the arcs would be enormous, like 7-9 cm long arcs. But they aren't, because of the way it works.!
I know what it is. I was just giving some info for a "continuous" output source for HV.
As for any HV application... safety is non-negotiable..
The transistor is just a high current switch, the free-running 555 osc provides pulses to drive the switch, which provides pulses to the transformer, which provides high voltage pulses to the multiplier circuit......
No resonance to be considered.....
No auto-transform or flyback 'topology'.....
Jeeze, talk about over complicating nothingness....
Yawn... go look at a model-T ford ignition circuit (or any other auto ignition prior to the widespread use of cd).
