Well, short of LPF providing a mobile / PDA format of their website, there is no PDA-sized device that can truly deal with a now-a-days
"standard" site like LPF.
However... I have the classic (or 1G, if you're an Apple fan) PSP, as well as Nintendo's DS Lite (also 1G
) and
HTC's Kaiser cellphone (Mobile). None of them are satisfactory when it comes to loading a site as large and (relatively) complex, even when disabling Flash, images, etc.
Of the three, the DS, with it's Opera browser, is by far the best of the three, the PSP being (by far) the worst. Surfing w/o a stylus or KB is simply a nightmare... . The Kaiser was somewhere in between the two, having the smallest viewing space and encountering an error* on every page of LPF (presumably associated with an advertisement).
*Error: "This page requires AC_RunActiveContent.js"
Attached, a pic of the three in action*. Note that I had to turn off all options on the PSP and it still had an "out of memory" error loading this thread, despite all goodies disabled :
The DS, on the other hand, managed to load all pics w/o putting up a fuss (but just like the other two, It took too much time).
*You can find a larger version here, along with my other laser-related pics.
