Looking for someone to meter my S3 Krypton

Personally I find the screenshots or pictures of the screen to be more genuine. To be fair I'm probably paranoid, but it is rather easy to manipulate the data file containing ... well the data:p

Video is really the best option IMO.

I agree.... I usually use Screen Shots. They are easy to
do and crop. I use plain old MS Paint to save the SS..

A video is difficult to falsify but it still is possible..

@ justdopey365...

No problems.... whatever gets your Graph into your post
is OK.

Here's the LPM RUN:

Here's the Video:

I would have made the video longer but the safety pin was not in all the way and the laser shut off on me.

If theres anything else i could do, i would be happy to do so.

Wow! I'm impressed. You got a good laser! What mode/modes is it?

Thanks! Im not familiar with modes, but if i put on my glasses the dot looks like a circle. Is there a good way to test the modes? And what are the modes?

I would be interested to see a ten minute run!
And by modes I think he means does it have strobe/ higher / lower power settings?

Maybe he's talking about TEM

Id rather not push it that much yet. But ill do 5 a minute run later this week. I got work and my final is tomorrow...

Please do the test with an IR lense in front of it.

Did you calculate/measured divergence and beam diameter yet?

Nice unit so far, but REALLY WANT TO SEE THE IR TEST :)

Alright I cam get the IR test. But the beam divergence is going to wait. The beam looks like its 2-3mm.

Well I'm impressed that a 1Watt WL Krypton is actually doing >1000mW

FYI... never touch the heatsink with your fingers to adjust it's position.
you inroduce heat on the heatsink and the reading will drop slightly
depending on the amount of heat applied.

What you're referring to right here is usually called RTFM 'Read the Fing Manual'

We don't supply a Manual.... we supply User Instructions....:na:

Alright thanks Jerry, ill be sure to do that now but I thought i could move it as long as i dont touch the sensor?

We were using "If all else fails.... READ the F#$k'n Instructions"
way before Wikipedia or the Internet even existed...

So I'm sticking with RTFI.... :eg::crackup:

Alright thanks Jerry, ill be sure to do that now but I thought i could move it as long as i dont touch the sensor?

Touching the sensor will change the Sensor Coating's absorption
characteristics.. Touching the heatsink will change the differential
temperature between the Sensor/Heatsink junction...
Both operations are discussed in the User Instructions to not be
performed. ;)

IR TEST UPDATE:

IRTEST.jpg

Now i do have a question... When i was putting my Power meter away my gf was talking to me and i happened to touch the sensory for about a second, how can i expect it to throw of my readings? making them larger or smaller?

I did a run of my laser to test any wild differences. The only thing was that it reached 1W faster than normal but it didnt surpass 1.1W and stayed there until it shut off on me again.

Thanks for sharing the results. Looks like you did get a VERY VERY rare completely on spec krypton.

When you say you touched the sensor, do you mean the little black square itself? I'm going to assume that's that you meant...

Shouldn't throw off the reading much. If anything, generally the readings would actually be lower if you rubbed off some of the paint(as more light would be reflected instead of absorbed). I'm sure Jerry will chime in with more details in the morning.
