Lithium Ion equivalent for AA and AAA

guys i can not seem to find the lithium ion equivalent for AA and AAA can any one telll me so that I can order them

AW is a good source.

There's often IMR versions as well, so you don't need protected cells, and they support higher amp draw.

Protected have a circuit that cuts the juice if the cell is overheating or shorts, or get over discharged, to prevent cell damage fires and explosions, and, the unprotected don't.

Protected are a smidgen longer to accommodate that circuit.

At some point you will want a laser that has some staying power so you will probably want a couple 18650 cells also.

And never buy the protected cells they are more trouble than they are worth just stay on top of charging them and you will not have any problems.

My battery collection includes:
  • Many 26650's - When was the last time I charged them again????
  • Many 18650's - Lase all day
  • Many 16340's - For le uber small builds
  • Many 18350's - To be used in hosts that are either 1x18650 or 2x16340, these give same rough length of 16340's but much higher capacity.
  • Many 10440's - For that one time I made a pen collection...and then sold it.
  • Two 15270's - Because I inherited a weird ass laser that used them. Lol.

i have four 18650s do to the fact that my Chinese laser 301 uses one... I have a couple of cree flashlights that also have use of them.. the reason I asked i have a couple of rayovac single bright 150 lumes flashlight that i though i would make in to lase host and they take AA and i have a couple of cheap metal fasttech.com AAA that i thought would make a good host for a five mw or ten mw diode.. all I really am missing are heat sinks, pills, drivers, and some diodes... So that is the reason for this thead. are the 26650s D size or C sized

The 26650 are a little bigger than C's. 26500 is more of a C cell.

32600 are more like D cells.

No 14500?!?!

My favourite is 18650 :p
 
I would suggest buying protected smaller cells, if you must use small cells.

People overestimate how much current they are drawing from their small cells. 10440 you shouldn't pull more than an amp from. 14500, shouldn't pull more than 1.5A from. If you need more than that from that size cell, you need to see if they are available in IMR chemistry, which can put out more power at the cost of energy.
