List of 445nm diodes

Ok.

Also worth noting is that the all but one 140 diode used a high efficiency lense, not nearly as many 130 diodes did.
Maybe I'll remake the graph to show this.
EDIT: there.

Nice thread, I'm surprised it took me a week to notice. I know I read one persons diode LEDed when they hooked it up though. I'm surprised there are no dead diodes on the chart. Now I really want Jayrob's 18650 host.

#2
XJ-A140 (from Daniel @ PL)
microflex v5 set to 406mA
Aixiz 405nm lens
Trustfire F23 (host for protected 10440)
powered by 10440
10min - 1min x 10
LPM - Kenometer lite

Output power after lens is 260mW.

Hi. Grix.
I changed my mind and I set the current of #2 as 850mA.

#2
XJ-A140 (from Daniel @ PL)
microflex v5 set to 850mA
Aixiz 405nm lens
custom P60
powered by 18650

Output power after lens is 1210mW. Even after the Aixiz 405 lens!!

I think the diode of A140(2500ANSI) is definitely different from that of A130(2000ANSI)...
So I am wainting and hope there will be GB of A150(3000ANSI).....

Laser market must fluctuate for some time because 1.2W of 445nm is brighter than 200mw of 532nm.

Wow, that does seems to support the theory that the A140 uses different diodes, or atleast that the diodes are put into seperate bins according to efficiency.

Wow that's incredible. I'm sure we'd alll love to see more info on these diodes. Is the xj-A150 out yet? What meter are you using? Thanks.

Diode source info, 130 or 140.

You can get both on different group buys here, someone is running a 140 group buy now for 50 shipped and 45 for each additional, there are already like 13 of 15 people interested too so if you want a 140 you should check it out fast!

Hi.
Two of A140 were measured by Kenometer lite as previously said.
I checked the power of #2 with 405-G-1 lens now. It's about 1400mW.

And I wonder A150 is disappearing in the market recently........:(
I would like to have a chance to compare A140 with A150. Even though there will be no difference between A140 and A150 as that of A130 and A140........

Jesus I don't mean sources like that, we need more data from people on where they got their diodes from..

Dave (daguin) has A140 diodes on hand! He may still have the A130's too...

Hi. ZRTMWA.
Thank you for the info.
I hope there will be A150 GB because the import tax is very high in Korea.
A150s are disappeared in Korea.....

Hi. Jayrob.
Thank you for the info.
A130 from Glenn is on its way.
BTW how's your A140?

Oh it's waiting in it's module... (one of the two A140's I got from the PL group buy. I have two from Dave on the way as well)

My driver is set for 950mA's, and I'm waiting on copper material that I can machine to fit my new host...

The new SS 18650 host takes a longer heatsink than the material I have on hand. So I'm waiting on material to complete the build. (though most of the work is done and just waiting for final assembly)

Here's the new host: (kit available)
http://laserpointerforums.com/f64/fs-stainless-steel-18650-kit-polished-perfect-445-a-52159.html

I will report on the output power of the A140 at 950mA's in just a couple of days...

I could just slap a heatsink on there to test the power, but I'd rather just wait until I get my longer copper material and complete the build in the SS host. The driver is installed and set, labels on, brand new AW battery charged, and A140 diode pressed into module... Just begging for it's heatsink!
