Here's mine... about 5 minutes after I took these pictures I found another 5 diodes... but you get the idea. And these are only from the last 3 or 4 weeks! I probably had two or three times this amount total, but I threw them away.

I have no diode graveyard. Either I'm a total n00b or a total pro. You decide which. =D

I got 6 or so somewhere, 2 IR and 4 or so 16x diodes.
One of my dead 16x diodes is used it to entertain the cats since it still lazes like a 5mW

I have no diode graveyard. In my house we call dead diodes, "trash" and "file" them accordingly ;)

same as Dave, the dead diodes = trash.

I used to have a little pile of all the 5mW diodes that I'd take out from 5mW laser modules and use the module, but the pile started to grow too fast and needed to be located elsewhere.

This topic has been created before.  I called it my "bone yard".  But here's the pics anyway!  :)

Edit: most of those diodes are dead, but some are still functional!

I've tossed most of them in the trash.. But here's a few that were still sitting in my desk drawer:

Umm yes thats right ....

My other diode that still works is NIR, but its a diode with the sensor in it , the little sensor thats on DVD players that the light reflects into so the disk can be read , its usually separate, but my diode has it inside it. The diode has 10 pins, I got it out of an old laptop, must be designed that way for compactness .
