lazerer.com - a new laser seller

^^^I didn't think you were... but people do forget passwords from time to time, and inadvertently create new accounts:p

I've done it on another forum I visit from time to time:o

What did you get doa? That's always a bummer:( Post how it turns out.

I got a small 200 MW red laser that was certified.

LZMN - 650nm 200mW Focusable Red Laser Pointer.

I have Brand New batteries and know which way they go in.

Unit is DEAD...

I'm sure they will make good on it.

Since i had found them here....just wanted to know if someone was a member here so I could send them a PM and maybe speed up the process for a replacement.

I already wrote support earlier and then found this thread.

On a positive note, the unit arrived in 11 days.

Thanks for all your concerns:thanks:

Are you sure it's dead?

Did you check the contacts?

Perhaps the batteries do not make contact with the spring or the tail cap.

I once had such an issue with a laser. I thought it was DOA, while after jiggling with it a little bit it all went fine.

Max says he measures every laser before it is shipped, hence it's strange that you got a DOA unit.

They seem to be a pretty good seller and haven't read about any complaints. All of their lasers are guaranteed to be on or over spec when they send them out. They are in China, so your shipment might take a little while to get to you.

Actually, they gaurantee lasers to be within +/- 20% of specifications.

Thanks........

I really didn't want to "shake" it around until I heard back from LAZERER.COM Misread....Jiggle not shake...sorry

BUT>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I did try a piece of wire with the tail cap off from the battery to the host threads......

GUESS WHAT?

IT WORKS....:yh:

the tail cap contact is below flush......:yabbem:

I'm 1350 miles away from my garage and tools.......what can i do to get it to make contact...

Thanks for the suggestion...although i wasn't going to "jiggle" it without hearing back from the vendor...

Rep for you!

I wouldn't "jiggle" anything to make it work...

I'm still waiting to hear back from the vendor....

I know the diode isn't dead...that's good....just an issue with the tail cap.

I'm sure they will make good on it;)

Send it back, hopefully they have good post purchase customer service.

the tailcap doesnt work at all?
or is some part not contacting the battery?
seems like an easy fix
maybe they will just send you another tailcap

@COCONUTS

maybe they will just send you another tailcap

I would definitely try to determine 100% that it's the tailcap... if it is, and bypassing the tailcap makes your laser work... have Max send you just the tailcap. Otherwise you're gonna be out on shipping the laser back, and will be stuck waiting for much longer.

Well the diode works using a wire from the battery to the side of the host...

Tail cap clickyndoesn't work at all:yabbem:

Hi COCONUTS,

The length of different 16340 may varies. If your 16340 is a bit shorter it will not contact the spring and the tail cap well. Therefore the switch doesn't work. Don't worry too much if your laser is not emitting a dim light. 90% of "no light" case is due to the problem of power source.

Do you see two small hole inside the tail cap? Try to rotate the hole anti-clockwise using the tweezer. The will raise up the negative terminal and make a better contact for short battery. If it still doesn't work. I will send another tail cap to you.

Regrads,
Max

I really wanna order one of those 100mw keychain lasers but every laser on the site says out of stock?
