When will you get at least 2 more of the lab like host and can I get those with copper sinks? I would like to prepay if they are going to be in soon....

Got my heatsink a few days ago. Unfortunately the fandyfire was backordered when I bought it. Looks like DX shipped it yesterday though. Im stoked for this build! I have everything but the host now. :)

And of course, bump

Great.:) Yea i hate when DX does that. They say in stock but its really on back order.

If they shipped it out today then you will get it within couple weeks. Well that usually how long it takes me to get my stuff.

Enjoy.

Got my heatsink today, it was a bee's dick to big for the host, got some 600 fine sand paper and spun the heatsink with a drill, now its perfect Cheers!

Thats probably the funniest thing Ive heard in a long time.

Sorry about that. I make my heatsink with a Tight tolerance so i try to leave no error gaps. Ive learned a few times that all hosts are different from each other.

Maybe the host iam using now is from there first batch. Ive got a couple new ones coming in and i will see if there is a Difference.

I refunded you half of what the heatsink was for the trouble.

OH you didn't have to do that! its not your fault, its the tolerance of the mob who build em :)

I love fixing things so it was no trouble.

The heatsink looks the goods!

Cheers man

I am in the market for a new host for a 445nm. How is the lab looking host for heat sinking? What is the duty cycle of the 445's you have built in them.

Sorry but those are sold out.:( They where limited addition and cannot find anymore of them.:(

If i can get more i will put them up but i dough they will be available again.

Sorry.

darn, well if you can get more, I would be down for one if it aids the heat-sink well.

I've sent a few PM's to ask a few questions to Lazeerer, but he seems to have either not seen them or is ignoring me, so I'll ask here. Does anyone know how the "Small Sun's" 3x AAA holder is set up? Are the batts in series or parallel? If it's series I could throw two 10440's in there and jump the last space for a linear driver....

Please be patient my Friend. I know most of you are use to my instant responses but Ive been slammed this past week.

I will get to your PMs Within a couple hours.

Dont assume that people are ignoring you or the worst because you dont get an Instant response. I would never Ignore anyone.:)

You sent all your Pms in less then 24 hours.:D Give some one a chance to respond friend.

The small sun Host cannot take 2x 16340. It can fit either 1x 18500 or 1x14500 or 2x CR2 cells or use 3x 10440. .

The holder is set up so the cells are in series. so using 10440 cells you will get 12.6v when they are all fully charged.

SO you can use 2x 10440 like you said and a jumper for a liner driver but dont expect any high currant off 10440.

You might be able to safely do ~500mA with 10440's and a LINEAR driver.

Other driver like my buck driver can run on all 3 10440 and be much more efficient than a linear driver. You can run my driver at 900mA-1A on 10440 no problem.:)

Sorry for not responding right away. I know most are use to this but this past week has been crazy for me at the firm i work at.:cryyy:
