Hey lava i've used two of these drivers for blu-rays and they have been fantastic...

I was wondering what your thoughts are on using the lavadrive to drive a cree xp-e led at 700ma.
The forward voltage of said LED is 3.4V

i have read a lots of things about new V4.. i have affraid that my soldering skills will be not enough to use this driver with success..

do you have V3 still available or they are not more available???

I recieved mine today and made a 6x Pocket Mini

These new V4s are a pain to solder to... :-/
You need some nice soldering skills.

I must say again how great these drivers are. They are sooooo small. They fit right into an aixiz module. These are perfect for pen lasers. Please don't switch back to the old drivers. If anything keep both in stock for those who have trouble with these ones.

I think I may have done something bad! I was thinking as I don't have any volt/ampere/anything/meter I would just turn the pot clockwise, (correct to increase mA?), until max, on the lowest level it would be to about 100mA (perfect for a PHR I thought), it seems like I can turn it forever? Is it just going around forever 65-100-65-100-65-100 mA ?

Your not supposed to turn it forever!
It's not a mechanical knob that will stop once you have reached the max current.
You can break it like that.

It's called using common sense... :

Ok, I tried it and not broken, phew.

But say I have it on the 65-100mA range like now and I turn too much, what happens to the mA output? does the mA output max out at 100mA, just that the pot will still be able to turn and break, fysically?
