I was watching this one that sold on ebay today.

Ted
That one doesn't have data logging ;)
One with data logging is $270.
Wrong!

" If you wish to purchase the Data Logging Option....
Just add $24.99 to the total at the end of the auction and
we will include it and ship it for no additional shipping costs."

Quoted from that ebay sale page!   That comes up to $184.98 for the minimum bid price, or $194.98 for the BUY IT NOW price.
plus $33.98 for shipping

So, i guess your price is a little bit better than the ebay item including the data logging option.

If this was the deluxe version it would be a good deal.
Have you seen the shipping charges? ::)
It is almost $270 total, and with the refund, it is $245.
WOW.
I had no idea, this is a great deal!

I thought shipping and handling was $25, so $210+S/H-Rebate=$210.

I was wondering where people kept getting that $270 figure from ;D
You want one? ::)
Sorry, money is a little tight right now.

Well as you change designs and upgrade options change the name Laserbee-I to Laserbee-II and laserbee-III to reflect the changes you've made in the meter.

Still seems a little high for something not even in an enclosure.  Just doesn't scream professional.

God knows historically there has been disagreements between you and I in the past and I'm not disagreeing that your meter isn't a quality meter.  Far from it.  I just feel it's a bit expensive for a non-enclosed power meter.  But then again, I'm not sourcing your parts and am not in control of things like that.  Again no disrespect.  Just my $.02

Gee...
When we decide to rename the LaserBee I you will be one of the first to know....  ;D
We are the only ones that know/decide what the future of the LaserBee (X) product/project will be
in the future. But thanks for your professional input.... :)

I always thought that this was a Laser related forum for "Hobbyists".... :-?

Aren't Hobbyists individuals that like to try things out for themselves... tinker... use there own ingenuity
and skills to find a solution and do their own builds..... in their own style and tastes:-?

Well... this LaserBee I Laser Power Meter is Fully functional right out of the shipping box.... and
any Hobbyist can mount it into any enclosure he/she decides to get... (as many members here have
already done).  It was designed to be extremely easy to mount into almost any enclosure. 8-)

If one is not inclined to build their own enclosure.... we offer a Deluxe LaserBee I already mounted
in a Professional  Enclosure that obviously costs more (it can be seen here):-

http://www.bauer-electron.com/eby/eby1wlpm.htm

I know I'm biased... as the designer/manufacturer of the LaserBee I... but I think we have a great
product that allows the average hobbyist a chance to get a brand new Decent Thermopile based
Laser Power Meter at an affordable price.... that IS available and in stock.

If you find a Brand New comparable Thermopile LPM for a comparable or better price please
let us know.  :-?

BTW... about disagreements between you and I in the past... I thought we put those behind us...
or did I misunderstand you???
Either way... I don't think the place to bring that up is on Spyderz20x6's  Sale Thread..  8-)

Your comments and suggestions are appreciated and welcome and I know you're not disrespecting
me.... ;)
You ARE entitled to your opinion and I respect your right to express those opinions. 8-)

That's why I was asking if it had datalogging, because without it, the price on eBay--even with shipping--is still better. Those things are perpetually sold on eBay too, so I wasn't in any rush to buy it now.

Re: LaserBee 1 LPM 30 Day Sale! 10 units!! Act fas

For those of you comparing prices to the eBay listings....

We put up a LaserBee I once in a while without the Data Logging Option
at a really low price.
The place we make the majority of our sales is on our Website.....
Just because the local food market has a one day special on item "X" doesn't
mean that that is the regular fair market price.

BTW.. there are no LaserBee I on eBay as we speak.... :)

Yeah... I seem to remember a Die4Thing LPM that was sold on eBay for a while...
Robin doesn't sell them anymore because the parts were no longer available and
costs went up drastically.... :-?

I also remember a Kenometer that everyone waited until the last minute to
purchase and a lot of members missed out when the parts dried up.... :-?

I also remember that DX no longer ships to the USA... and people that were
sure the DX200 Dilda would always be available and put off buying one till
the last minute... now have missed out..

I've noticed... that if I really want something uniquely rare I will get it when
it's available. ;)

Just mt $0.02

All i can say is its very consistant and is real close to measurements from optotronics and nova but like jerry said get one while you can ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Re: LaserBee 1 LPM 29 Day Sale! 10 units!! Act fas

Here is a pic of mine in a homemade enclosure.  I love it and use it all the time, it definitely takes the guess work out of measuring your power output and doesn't break the bank.  Plus its the only quality LPM that is accurate at this low of a price.  The Coherent Laser Check is about $400.00 and I believe uses a photo diode which can be less accurate.  The enclosure I have is just a Radio Shack project box and a red power switch.  The thermopile is bolted to the top.

Re: LaserBee 1 LPM 29 Day Sale! 10 units!! Act fas

Once and a while? The moment one is sold, a new one is immediately put up. I've seen that pattern for months. Sometimes there are even two for sale at the same time!

What makes this BST attractive is that it is sold with the datalogging option, and that's why I asked about it. Without it, there would be no reason to buy it through here. I may even pick one up through here because it is a better deal at the moment.

Yup :)
Just pick it up through here, and you will get it faster ::)

Re: LaserBee 1 LPM 29 Day Sale! 10 units!! Act fas

Well, I think I'll get one, since it does have that datalogging option. PM sent.

Re: LaserBee 1 LPM 29 Day Sale! 10 units!! Act fas

yeah, i dont think it needs much to make it look nice, i rather they charge less and not have a cover for it than charge more and have 1.

I'm curious as to why it's being sold as a Thermopile LPM, when it comes with a TEC.
