Laser opinions

Nope, just called him. He is a real piece of work. I'll leave it at that. I'll just use this one till it dies and in the mean time I'll do more research.

Seller says I can't return it. He has a policy of not taking returns on used lasers. I didn't use it but, oh well. Sounds like he needs the $200 worse than I do if he has to treat customers this way.

Could always do a charge back depending on how you paid... :D Edit: Kinda sounds like he has it coming...

Seconded on Sanwu - great quality lasers. Alternatively you could go with LaserBTB - no first hand experience with them but have only seen good reviews.

I'm not sure I want go through all that over $200. I'll let it go and enjoy this one. I will refrain from any indoor or closeup stuff till I get some quality glasses. In the mean time it'll be fun to look around for my next one. Sanwu does make what appears to be some quality stuff.

Its nice to see someone taking something somewhat unpleasant with a grain of salt. Kudos:) His so called amazing customer service just went out the window but I doubt it ever existed.
My only experience with Mr. Worldcoolest lasers was when I first joined here and asked him about his $40 532 "301" burning laser. He told me it you focus it just right and hold your hand very steady it will light a match, and ""if I were to send him a paypal payment in the next 5 minutes he would ship it that day"" oh and it comes with a free shocking laser that no one else would do:whistle: Its probably somewhere in my PMs and just might have to go look back for a laugh.
I'm not one to make many waves but this one is earking for a scam report.
Subfanatic, I did see you say you had an option for a refund that suddenly dissapeared.
I know your planning on letting this be but i'm sure you have this forum to back you up.

I thought I did but after contacting him via email I knew I may as well forget it without filing a claim or charge back. He said no returns on "used" lasers and PayPal would back him, they always do. He also said that he could tell if it had been used. I could reverse the charges on my debt card but I really don't want the hassle. I wasn't the most polite on the phone after the emails I received so I feel kind of guilty for staying some of the things I said but it was only after his rude emails. I'm far from wealthy and $212 isn't pocket change but I'll live I'll keep searching and if anyone comes across a good deal and you don't buy it yourself, you can always give me a shout. I do have to recover some funds first so my wife doesn't kill me.

I do see a point in not taking back a used laser, that could get crazy. I do however think that every retailer should have some kind of a return policy for items that are in the same condition and original packaging with no use. Oh freakin well, now I'm thinking about the Sanwu, just wish they had a retailer in the USA.

So what if you lost your cool a bit, he upset you with his claims of customer service and nasty emails. If you read his little bio here he claims he's all about his family, yet he once showed a video playing with his blue laser at the kitchen table and he had his child sitting at it all the while none of his family were wearing saftey glasses.
You have every right to file a claim and no one here will take offence as he is not good for this hobby or forum. Look at all the stuff he sells on that sight as I doubt he knows much on lasers. Just a re seller scam man that opened an account here for that only purpose.;)
I don't think many here wouldnt agree that would be the thing to do.

If you're looking to build something in particular let me know and I will send you a parts list and answer any questions you have.

That photo was actually supplied by a customer and used with permission, but still...

I contacted him and he told me he found it by Google Images. That's pretty low. You know, it's possible that we could use this as leverage to help Subfanatic get a refund.

Ordered this:

Sanwu (Silver Series)

Wavelength and output: 445nm 3000mw

Driver mode: multi mode

Host version: Smooth

Lens option: G2

Man, I apologize Garoq, I just saw your reply.

He's not a nice person. By the time I called him I was furious. Maybe I'll just put it on Craigslist, only to an adult.

How long has it been since you bought the laser? IMO this guy scammed you, and you would be very well within your rights to file a paypal dispute, and paypal will back you.

You will need to ship the laser back, but you should be able to get a refund. It's a very clear cut case.

"Purchased curing blue laser. Laser output is far below what was advertised. Contacted seller to fix problem, was treated rudely. Would like to send laser back for full refund since it is not as advertised."

Once you're able to escalate it from a dispute to a claim, call paypal and ask them to generate a return shipping label for you (it will be deducted from seller account), and ship it back.

Once you ship, and tracking shows as delivered, paypal will issue you a refund.
