Laser Harp kits - Batch 2 - Finished

Re: Laser Harp kits - NOW PRE-ORDERING!

I can probably offer assembly for around $30 extra. I think the best way to do this would be to purchase the kit thru illuminationsupply.com (When it comes back up), and just specify that you want a prebuilt kit. Then you would need to send the $30 extra to my paypal, with your order number.

However, I intend on shipping these out for distribution in under 4 days, and so far there are only 3 left, so if you want assembled kits, you'd need to let me know for sure (and pay) within the next 2 or so days to give me time to assemble them.

It is possible I _MAY_ do another run of these a bit later on. If I can gather enough interest, I may do another run earlier. Doing more runs is no problem, just need the numbers to make it happen.

Cheers,
Dan

Awesome, i sent PM as well, one the site is up i will take care of it, do i need to buy the laser portion as well or is the whole thing included, if not how much is the laser part?

Sounds good Dan.

As soon as the site is back up i'll buy a kit, also to avoid destroying it myself i'll have you put it together for me.

Re: Laser Harp kits - NOW PRE-ORDERING!

My paypal address is lpfthings[at]gmail[dot]com

When the site is back up, just check out normally, and chuck the extra $30 to my paypal address (Put in your order number from illuminationsupply so I know who the kit has to go to).

Cheers,
Dan

OK, I have had a huge spike in interest on these in the last day or 2.

I have a feeling that when the website comes back online, the last 3 will be gone instantly.

If you happen to miss out, and are still interested, please post in here and let me know, as at this rate, there is a good chance I'll do a second run :)

Cheers,
Dan

I put the order in, I hope they are still available....Also I PP for the assembly of the board.
Thanks!

Re: Laser Harp kits - NOW PRE-ORDERING!

Working on a little app in VB6 that will allow you to easily write note banks and set variables :)

Kind of a last minute decision. You'll still require an Arduino to reprogram it, but no having to muck around with code.

A little preview on the control program I've been working on :)

Sorry about the delay on the shipping, I decided this application was most definitely the best way to allow people to change parameters on the harp. No configuration needed :)

Please keep in mind, if you do not like the wait, you may contact csshih for a refund at any time. The 2nd batch will be a LOT faster, I guarantee :)

Also, just thought I'd add, the Arduino UNO probably won't work for programming. Reason being is the serial communications are actually done on the microcontroller itself, whereas on the Duemilanove (And previous version), it is done using an external chip. You need to be able to remove the onboard chip from the Arduino before programming with it, which you can't do without taking serial away with it on the Uno.

So yes, if you are planning on reprogramming them (Most likely everyone), look at getting a Duemilanove or clone/ripoff :)

Cheers,
Dan

The kits are now on their way to csshih for distribution. I paid that bit extra for EMS shipping, so should arrive quickly :)

Here is a simple view of the GUI that will allow you to change parameters (With an Arduino Duemilanove)

There will be a batch 2 on these, you may order at any time :)

Re: Laser Harp kits - NOW PRE-ORDERING!

Got my kit in the mail today!!
Looks great, now all I need is a good day off to start my build.

Also you said that there would be some instructions included, perhaps you could post some detailed pictures of your set-up or instructions on where each cable goes and what you think is a good set-up in relation to the laser and such.

Thanks again for soldering and putting this together, I might have been able to do it, but I just didn't want to mess it up in a learning experience.

Re: Laser Harp kits - NOW PRE-ORDERING!

Yeah, you will have an email in about 2 minutes with the whole assembly instructions :)

That includes everyone that bought the kit as well.

Cheers,
Dan
